I have to say Higsby has a very good level disguise but it looks to be a bit repetitive in a few worlds. That is really my only complainant about this. There are a few overview world qwerks also.
I think it's since he got his actual job contract to legitimately and productively take up his precious time, but he still wanted to get out his daily vids for raocow fans.
Also, just to put this out there:
I REALLY wanted to answer with "It's since he became a busy boy, translating pastrami."
with lunar IPS you have to patch one of those hacks in a super mario world ROM to be able to play it (the super mario ROM have to be clean, that mean, with NO other hack patched on it)
I think if I were to make a hack I would make the mandatory lava stage near the start. Too many hacks have them near the end, but Higsby's hack has been awesome so far. I don't want it to end!
Actually, I think you're thinking of Super Challenge World. If you notice, at the beginning of his playthrough of this hack, he was doing it all without tools, and was STILL swimming in lives.
Well, yeah. But given how genuinely hard it gets along the end, I'm starting to think that you're intended to get all those hundreds of lives to help you beat the hack without tools.
It's also worth noting that if he was relying on the game's save function, his lives would be reset every time he turned it off. That's not practical for an LP, but for someone just playing on their own time, I would count using save states as the primary stopping point as tool use.
Similarly, when playing Virtual Console games, I tend to turn the power off because I don't WANT to suspend the game when I go to the Wii Menu - I want to play it as though it was on the original system.
That "WAH!" at 0:51 was sexy :D
