Richard isn't being a bully, he's being honest. Just go to any local Wal-Mart and see how many people all of a sudden can't walk anymore and have to use the electric carts.

Rich wasn't making fun of disabled people, he was making fun of people who FAKE illness or disabilities whenever it suits them for their own gain, shamelessly displaying to other people that they are actually completely able-bodied and well until the time comes again when they want to take advantage of the system. Hence his reference to 'the Fake-Wheelchair-People with trampolines', which I personally thought was hilarious!! :-D

I've also personally seen what he's talking about. People "painfully" doddering onto the plane ahead of the other passengers, only to deplane at a full trot and scoop up their grandchildren. At least Lewis made me laugh at what is both shameless and selfish.

Turning the tables on Craig for a change, and making *him* squirm with the non-PC wheelchair riff was calculated. And IMO, adds immensely to the entertainment factor. :D

I only know of Richard Lewis from Curb your Enthusiasm, and I love his "character" but I didn't realise he was that MANIC in real life! I think I'm in love! Also, the time line pointer on youtube has changed to a festive snowflake :)

I don't blame the guy trying to tell the story and I don't blame the crowd for laughing, it's really difficult to raise your voice in a casual story when you're not saying something so important that you have to shove it down everyone's throat with a loud, serious tone.
