  • "...has committed the greatest felony in American history..."

    What an exaggeration.

  • Langella tries so fcking hard. You can almost feel his pain while attempting to be (like) somebody else.

Epic fail, as my fellow internauts would say.

  • Nixon got his arse handed to him by one of the greatest talkshow hosts in British history history. So not a great deal of imagination needed, considering Frost's and Nixon's reputations.

  • OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH YOUTUBE'S REDESIGNED TO GREY..........EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEW!

  • This movie talks about chile 1973?

  • One of the most underrated movies. Ever.

  • "I'm saying that when the President does it, that mean's it's NOT illegal."

    "....I'm sorry?"

Brilliant ending to a trailer. Unexpectedly powerful.

  • Outstanding performances by all the cast.

  • I didn't know Ron Howard was a fan of The Who

  • What is the name of the music starting at 0:53??

  • @Thefamousballerina

    Baba O'Riley - the who

  • "The city is the King's, that's the law!" Creon, Sophocles

  • BIG FILM ! BIG MAN!

  • Dear me! Politics certainly need to return to decent feuds, assassinations and civil wars! If there wouldn’t have been the Ides of March, the civil war between Anthony and Octavian, the Wars of the Roses or the rebellions against Henry IV but such nonsense instead maybe Shakespeare would have to write his plays about such boring things. So Monsieur Peter Morgan should try to write plays about more heroic and tragic events in history! How about Lady Jane Grey or Queen Isabella?

  • Michael Sheen's the best!!!!

  • What's the name of the music starting at 1:24 ?

  • @lalakukaful "Death is the Road to Awe" by Clint Mansell, from the soundtrack to Darren Aronofsky's "The Fountain"

  • this should have won Best Picture

  • michael sheen is freaking AMAZING! i love him!

  • nixon in90

  • whoa wat a waste kevin bacon.....

  • i felt sorry for nixon. sorry, this film makes him the most likable guy by far.

  • What's with the people saying it wasn't dramatic enough? I'm not even American and I was thrilled while watching this movie, from the first minute to the very last. The tension just never let me go.

    I think it's an exceptionally well-made movie.

  • uhh...that sounds more like frankenstein than Richard Nixon. JS.

  • @slashMANlesp or the wolfman...

  • and I was expecting a new song from Pogo.

  • It saddened me to learn that Nixon was so troubled and lonely. Despite his actions, I really felt for him at the end of this film. What a compelling piece of cinema.

  • @Fagottron oh look a famous youtuber commenting. :D

  • what song starts plays in the background at 0.16 secs in.

  • anyone know the song playing at 1:06 ?

  • @InsightStealer The Who - Teenage Wasteland

  • what Nixon said at the end...Did he legitimately say that in real life? Or is this just a film thats trying to make him look bad?

  • @back2realitygal11 No, he actually said that. I know....

  • what the hell did he say at 1:18 somebody pls let me kno!!!

  • @smachohalla Did you do any fornicating? hahaha

  • @InsightStealer oh lol.. thanks

  • @smachohalla He's asking him, "Did you do any fornicating?" Meaning, did he have sex with anyone the night before. It's obviously a jarring question to be asked by a complete stranger right before the cameras start rolling, not to mention rude and extremely out of place. The context in the film was not for Frost to answer it, but just be frazzled enough right before the interviews start that he looked unprepared.

  • @ScarlettOcean92 thx! :)

  • The Nixon actor reminded me nothing of nixon, what a shitty movie.

  • @cheap3shotproduction How dare you.

  • LAWLSAUR ATTACK movie nixon sed "that when the president does it, that means ITS not illegal"

real nixon "that when the president does it, that means IT IS not illegal"

not a big deal but if ur gonna make a big movie like this..wudndt u want to be as historically accurate as possible?

  • @obeseotters jesus christ toolbag!

  • Brilliant movie. For a movie that's essentially nothing but dialog the tension they build up is phenomenal.

  • I love michael sheen so much

  • "When a president does it, it's not illegal!"

    So true..... lol

  • @persia1001

i believe you are missing the point..

the point is it's not true.

  • "Baba O' Riley" at 0:53 NICE.

  • AWESOME MOVIE. AWESOME.

  • this is an amazing film....someone knows the title of the song that start at 1:26?

  • @LailaIcePrincess It's "Death is the Road to Awe" by Clint Mansell, from the soundtrack of Darren Aronofsky's film "The Fountain"

  • Nixon Sucks

  • What does nixon say at 1:19?

  • @OrginalKork "Did you do a fornicating?" Basically he's asking Frost if he had sex last night.

  • @aqtimmy89 ah ok lol.

  • "im saying that when the president does it

    that means its not illegal"

  • This film showes Richard Nixon weaker than he really was...

  • Not sure Langella really gets the voice right and he looks a bit too tall.

  • Langella looks more like LBJ than Nixon here, but...

  • lol, the soundtrack at 0:53 - 1:21 was used in the American Beauty trailer. does anyone know what it's called?

  • @ReklawRemix ¨

it's Baba O'Riley by The Who ...it's the theme song for CSI New York :-)

  • Frank Langella needs to stop doing this artsy fartsy garbage and go make "Masters of the Universe 2".

  • This tune is "Fame" by David Bowie.

  • does any one know where that groovy tune comes from about 1.00 into the trailer???

  • @oldskoolhunting i think its teenage wasteland by the who

  • @oldskoolhunting

    your dead right mate, thanks!!!!

  • It's too bad that this film, like 1995's Nixon, was not accurate. "When the President does it, it's not illegal" was not said in regard to Watergate and was used in the complete wrong context in the film. Drunk Nixon spilling details to Frost late at night? Never happened. Frost cornering Nixon into admitting guilt? Never happened.

  • Frank Langella's acting was a bit over the top.

  • Is that... that one man Michael Sheen ...?

  • @Meovah yep

  • This was a fantastic movie. It's easy to forget that at one point Nixon was a force to be reckoned with.

  • please, 0:53 - 1:21, what's the name of this song??

  • @vygroove Baba O'Reilly (teenage wasteland) by the who

  • @vygroove bab o'reily by the who ;)

  • By far my favorite movie of 2008. It's total bullshit that Langella and Sheen lost out on the Academy Award to Sean Penn's performance in Milk, in my opinion. Not to mention Frost/Nixon a way better movie.

  • @salvo711 even mickey rourke deserved more the academy award than sean penn

  • kinda boring movie.

  • @0neofthem Think you may be a simpleton...

  • @TheWhiteSpiderUK just cause i thought this movie was boring doesn't mean that you have to be an asshole about it.

  • @0neofthem not enough random shootings and explosions ?

  • @blueprint101 no. it just wasn't dramatic enough.

  • ok to b honest im so not interestd in that boring stuff...but i totally love michael sheen so il watch it haha

  • Jesus Christ! This is such a brilliant movie! Much better than that slumog millionare movie. This is brilliant.

  • Frank Langella 4 President! :-)

  • nixon was a pretty good president

  • @blueskiesofsunshine you must be jokin

  • this movie was alright. I like oliver stones better. /watch?v=dO2LWKpeyI8

  • this film impressed me. i thought it was gonna be kinda borish

  • @SeFu2006 i watched just now I too tought it would be dull as hell.I watched through without moving.I was totally consumed by the entire stor. This was well executed.

  • What's the song that begins at 1:25?

  • @Dreaminia "Death is the Road to Awe" by Clint Mansell

  • @level22productions Thanks very much! :D

  • "the greatest felony in American history"?

Granted, I am not a fan of Richard Nixon, but that statement is very silly.

  • after watching this, even nixon's enemies will love him! go nixon!

  • MegaCOYS: THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!! I've spent a whole hour searching the net for the name of this song! IT ROCKS!!!

  • awesome film... i love it!

  • gemini3725 the music is bab o'reily by the who

  • why is the i am legend music in the trailer

  • why not? What's moar, it's not the i am legend music.. It;s the mansell's track for the fountain. It was just used in ial trailer.

  • @MightySavagE Whoa! I was listening to Death is the Road to Awe when I read your comment!

  • Aslo, another question, anyone know what the music is starting at 0:19...I really like it and have no idea what the name is..

  • What does Nixon say at 1:20? I've been trying to work it out, it's probably the accent but what is it? Ahaa!

  • you do any fornicating?

  • "did you do any fornicating?" lol tricky dick stuns another

  • Great recreation of a pivitol moment in history handled with the usual assurance by Ron Howard. The performances from Langella and Sheen are outstanding. An instant classic.

  • i'd watch this movie based on A Beautiful Mind's greatness alone

  • The movie was a massive dramatisation - watch the real Nixon/Frost interview - it was nothing like the movie!

  • i love micheal sheen :) best actor ever!

  • This film was excellent. Salvatore Totino has to be one of the greatest cinematographers since Gordon Willis and Geoffrey Unsworth.

  • The Frost/Nixon interviews produced the greatest quote by any President of the United States ever:

"Well, when the President does it that means that it is not illegal."

  • This should of one picture of the year. I liked Slumdog, but this was far better and far more serious. Granted I still feel the Dark Knight was the best film that came out that year.

  • I could not agree more; "The Dark Knight" was , plainly and simply, a masterpiece.

  • When I first saw it I said "This isn't a Batman movie". I just don't think they wanted a superhero film to be movie of the year.

  • That's because they're probably a bunch of liberals that saw some phony symbol of "underdog acheivement" in that stupid "Slumdog Millionaire".

  • I liked Slumdog, but no way did it deserve picture of the year. And if it wasn't for Slumdog we would of had Milk win. They can't give it to a film that just makes you love cinema and doesn't have to make a political statement.

  • Funny; I remember watching a movie review show on t.v. ("At The Movies', perhaps?), and I recall some critic mentioning how Christian Bale islike Michael Corleone in "The Godfather Part #:2". My sentiments exactly. There is no doubt that this movie was, by far, the most-liked movie of all of 2008. There is NO reasonable excuse at all, whatsoever as to why this couldn't have won the "Best Picture" Oscar.

  • Christian bale was Michael Corleone and no offense to Robert Deniro he did a fantastic job,but the Ledger as the Joker was perhaps the best performances in the history of cinema. Slumdog,Frost, and Milk were good, but they can't even compare to the Dark Knight when it came to acting, style, music, camera work, and story. To those who say it was all effects there dead wrong. Just look at the Joker and how they used his insanity to just turn the story into something that questions the way we think.

  • It's a good movie don't get me wrong, but Heath Ledger's performance is kind of overrated. Brad Pitt pretty much played the same role 10 years ago in Fight Club. Personally, I think that movie took those ideas much further and gave them more depth than the Dark Knight did (or could have). With that said, it's still a great spin on the Joker character.

  • "The Dark Knight" was, plainly and simply, a masterpiece.

  • I was watching it when it first came out and I couldn't believe it was a Batman movie. I mean I said this is the Godfather of superhero movies.

  • My. Sentiments Exactly. Lol. I definitely agree with you. On everything, lol. "The Dark Knight" was a genuine masterpiece. If you look it up on wikipedia, and you read what it has to say at the bottom of the page about it's theme, it says that its' "escalation". With that score, they could not have possibly emphasized that theme in any better way at all, whatsoever, especially on the part when you see everything fatal happen during Harvey Dent's fundraiser at Wayne Manor. Pure classic.

  • Wow nixon was such a douchebag

  • This is an amazing movie.

  • They have Nixon's voice down pat can't believe they found someone so great to play as him

  • wow this looks really good, and not boring. I actually understand what they're talking about in the trailer.

  • @SnakeSkin950 I saw the movie twice in theaters. Langella had that Oscar stolen from him- the film made me completely interested in President Nixon.

  • its such a powerful picture

  • he such was a great president too bad he was responsible for the watergate scandal

  • a great president?

you have got to be fucking kidding me.

  • why what did he do that was so bad

  • Vietnam, for example

  • you mean how he finally pulled us out of the war

  • i really hate politics but this was the best political movie iv seen

  • Fuck Slumdog. This was the best picture.

  • @badtown88 I know! I loved this movie!

  • what is the final song in the trailer? after baba o riley?

  • such a great movie! haha you do any fornicating?

  • wat is the song at 0:52

  • Baba O'Riley by The Who

  • best movie of the last 10 years

  • Interesting film. Born in late 70's so only had the vaguest ideas about Watergate. Actors were pretty terrific - esp Nixon.

  • at 1:18. :did you do any fornicating?

  • yes

  • Comment removed

  • What is he saying at 1:18?! I can't understand him! lol

  • The Who - Baba O'Reliey formerly known as teenage wasteland

  • god that film is awful, I couldn't take it seriously, rubbish wigs, rubbish sideburns and the guy who plays Nixon is unwatchable, you can't believe he's Nixon at all ... I'd rather watch the original interview than watch that crap film. reconstitution wise Milk was way better!

  • Are you are..?

  • what is that supposed to mean?

  • What do you think it means curly? I'm asking who you are to criticise this major motion picture! Oh I'm sorry you must be one R. Ebert! Bow down before him children of Youtube! The man has spoken!!

  • I don't need some critics to tell me what I like, I watch tons of films and I don't care if people call it a major motion picture, I am me and I find it ridiculous and grotesque ... it's just a big Hollywood wank to me. sorry ... this films don't do anything to me ... biopics are laughable and this one especially!

  • What's the name of the song at 1:25 ???

It gets amazing at 1:50 !!!
