yes ... to an extent. I've got a few friends with '09 and later baggers who don't have nearly the discoloration that I had ... mine was black. I did however switch to V&H Dresser Duals also ... problem solved ... except for the gold that's left behind after I hit the pipes with blue job. Good catch though.
The discoloration is due to the Catalytic converter in the stock head pipe. It generates a ton of heat, and heat is what discolors chrome. My Rinehart slip-on on my 2010 Street Glide did the same thing. Put on V&H headers and the problem is fixed.
