the thing tht makes it so sad is professor layton. he's always so calm and rarely ever crys,but here he's freaking out.poor professor. they should make a game where claire comes back because the professor actually goes back in time nd stops all that from happening. I think Claire is the only one of the Layton girls that I actually like (haha Layton girls sounds like Bond girls XD teehee)

Flora is cute and sweet n all but absolutely useless, and kind of annoying. I'm not sure Katia counts, but if she does then she's not bad. Emmy... I like her, a lot but I hate her English voice *shudders*. Now that I think about it I like Janice too. But still, Claire is the best :D

I just can't take Layton's hair seriously ... pffffffffffffffffffffffffft XD

@skulblaka92 Well, I do love Flora, not only because she's so darn adorable and sweet, but also, she can solve puzzles too and she did amazing things in Chapter 11 of "The Lost Future", so she's not useless.

Also, Jenice's my 1,5th favorite PL girl because she's almost as adorable as Flora, and my 2nd one's Remi, because she's not as cute as Flora, BUT SHE CAN KICK ASS! :D

And Claire's my third one. xD

Yet this is the first time you truly seem him break out from his logical green side to a feeling blue side. Which really only makes this only sadder. I cried when I saw this scene after finishing the game.

I was spoiled for the game, but the localization made UF something entirely new. Japanese uses a lot to say very little, so I wondered how the dialogue would change in the dub. Claire was given depth, and Luke punctuated the scene well, but the line change for Layton redefined EVERYTHING. The dub is excellent and (since I prefer music with no vocals in dubs anyway), everything about it is far superior over the already wonderful LTT take in my opinion. I can't stop re-watching both versions now!

@caricodiethel My thoughts exactly. :) Layton's lines in the American version were a lot more tear-jerking than in this version, which was already tear-jerking enough! It was interesting to see Layton break down like that. It says a lot about his character, I think, although I'm not quite sure what. xD

@pepsicola1295 Yes! The Japanese statement is still very formal and it's really just him talking about his feelings for her that are still there. However, the English line Layton uses is almost stubborn and imposing, which with Layton's general character just shows how passionately upset he is. It cracks him open just a little.

@MetalGearFerret Just finishing the game now, I have to say the dub wasn't /that/ bad. They changed a few of the phrases, to fit the lip syncing and make a bit more sense (such as Luke shouts "She's gone!" as opposed to "Professor!"), but overall I thought it was good.

Luke seriously isn't as annoying as he was in the last two games, and Layton's voice sounds like it got a bit deeper, which I thought was more fitting for him. o:

@ravenpie52 Well, its not her ghost. It's actually her. Dimitri used his *real* time machine to go back before she died, and brought her to the future (our present?) so she could survive. The problem is that she was destined to die, so her time is, I guess, literally running out.
