Finally hit 80 with my DK ( blood spec) I usually use frost presence, and noticed that when I do switch to blood pres. the DPS is only a few hundred diff. wierd huh?

I have no time nor the nerve to raid. Although I have a well geared protadin ready to start naxx 10,25 everything except Ulduar.

Yes but unholy has better overall dps. So you may hit a large number, but It will be burst dps, and it won't be consistent. And this is coming from a level 73, leveling blood DK. I love the blood tree, but unholy is the best for dps in raiding.

Just letting you know, you should go Blood Pres in heroics of your dps, you do more damage, with unholy, you may hit faster, but you still wait a shit load of time for your runes to cool down, so take my advice and go Blood Pres xD

My opinion about DK unholy dps :

It's great for trash mobs (sick AOE )

and it does proper damage on bosses aswell.

More I can't say it's just pretty good.

For all people having problems with their DK dps spec:

Blood spec dps = brilliant if you have ''great'' gear... it's really gear depending because of the armor improvements ect.

Unholy spec dps=all types of gear... easy to do (bit hard in the start..you will get used)

Really Disease based spec too.

A decent dps rotation for unholy is Plague strike, icy touche ( thats the 2 diseases up) Blood strikex2 (To get death runes) scourge strike and then deplete your rune power with the spell that shoots a green ball (I forgot the name lol), then plague strike and icy touch again, scourge strikex2, and then again the green ball :S

Hey, can i just ask how is the titansteel destroyer for unholy dps DK?

I have lvl 80 unholy Dps DK, am just starting to get my gear.. i still use the De-raged war axe..

Do u think i should go ahead an get the titansteel destroyer? or wait out until i find a better drop? i'm thinking it might be a while until i get a good naxx drop as im only a new 80, so would this bring my dps up do ya think compared to the axe im now using?

You can go all the way down to mark of blood AND be all the way into unholy. Giving you a lot of healing capabilities and a lot of dps/aoe capabilities.

Unholy deals out a shitload of dps, personally I find it better to pull 6-10 mobs and kill them all at once with aoe. I was blood for a while but I keep respeccing and putting more and more into unholy, lol.

im not sure how much of a difference unholy presence makes, but with a decent 2h im sure its better than blood, my melee dmg is always top dmg on recount, check my vids, plus once u go from unholy to anything else the global cooldown seems slooooooooooooooow
