Did you make scanns from the books for your clips? I want like to see a video from book 1 - 10, with the best pictures :D That would be so awesome! You make a perfect job dude!!!
@BlackVelvetAngel I used the scans I found on Omanga back in the days before Tokyo pop released the books. I am still planning on finishing Vol.10 but making those videos is time consuming.
Regarding the other volumes, I was hoping other members of the Blame! community will take on the job but it didn't happened so far. Thanks for the kind words.
Adventure Seeker Killy in the Cyber-Dungeon Quest!
Even though Biomega is over do you think he'll still make a connection somehow, can't help that he rushed the ending of Biomega, there are a lot of open ends that he can still work on for the rest of his career.
thats the great stuff. it keeps us all on egde, we want to dive deeper into his ideas and he can just continue and we will run and sell our souls for it hehe. cliffhangersssss.
Yeah good thing it wasn't exactly a cliffhanger, he did end it pretty well, just kept a lot of stuff open for continuation. I do like that there is still room for speculation.
I'm a huge fan of your work, you really capture the feel of BLAME! One question though, what is the music used in the first half of this video and in your Digimortal GMV? Thanks a lot.
The first tune in this video is Nine Inch Nails - Only [ELP instrumental].
For the Digimortal video, there are 2 songs. The intro is "Wings for Marie" by TOOL. The 2nd one is the instrumental version of "B-side wins again" by DJ SPOOKY & DAVE LOMBARDO.
ah thanks for the info, but I am most interested in the 2nd part of this video, whats that chill out sound, NIN as well ???? I get so damn good clues to my story just listening to it over and over again. btw, nice how you showed his comic, not too much chance but keeping it fresh to read them again :)
Blame! really hooked me. Killy may not have said much, but as I followed him along his journey through the endless city there is a silent devotion to Killy that I really grew to respect for his character. I felt for Killy in this last chapter as his body was destroyed, especially as he helplessly floated away. Seeing the reaction of the net genes, no matter what future they really would bring, was really a happy moment. Killy finished his journey. The music was a good choice :D.
(a guy called "Gronth" on youtube posted a vid just a little ago! Fantastic!!!)
To the thing with the Safeguard-guy:
of course he is one and we all know that the Safeguard has locked the Netsphere because of the viral mutation that almost all humans have (you know Killy searches persons with NetSphere-Genes, I´ve read the Mangas in German so I don´t know if all nouns are right)and Killy wants to reactivate the NetSphere and so they try to stop him...
Why am I always blown away by your GMVs? I think you have a talent for these kind of things. The fact that you used NIN music to accompany the cut just proves how appreciative you are of Blame!, and I think that's terrific. Keep up the good work, I'll be sure to watch.
Thanks a lot for your support. I'm actually planning to do 3 more Blame!/NIN videos in the future. So the Blame!-Fans can watch volume 10 on youtube. I'm totally hooked by this story and artworks. Haven't felt like this since "The Matrix".
I know what you mean, Matrix had me hooked for quite some time - and Blame's been with me for more than 4 years now. I've been listening to music while reading the mangas, so if you're interested, I can give you some recommendations on other songs you might like - similar to NIN, somewhat dark, moody ambience and simple beats. One reason I like your videos is your excellent taste in music, so if you feel short-handed, give me a shout and I'll see if I can refresh you. =)
Even though I read the 10 volumes 12 or 13 times [in a row] I'm still not too sure about the end. Going to have to check what they say on "Heeen's Blame Forum". Thanks
Maybe. I have a theory. Maybe Killy was created by someone or something, copying (I don't know if it's the right word, my english it's not perfect...) a model already existing, like the one that apears in the video (like Sanakan and her initial bald version), and giving him a new mission (and a new gun, obiously).
This is just my theory, but I think Killy is 'special' safeguard from a faction/group of the safeguard which wants human netsphere control restored and trying to stop him are those safeguard opposed to any return to human control.
the atmosphere of this slideshow is amazing

Instead of Biomega, I wish Nihei would do more work on the BLAME! sequel a.k.a "Net Sphere Engineer". Very good BLAME! GMVs btw.

especially at the end with the sphere and the GBE

The bald guy with the pistol.

First!
Good video. It's a confusing ending for Blame, anyway (not your video, I mean the manga).
...
It's my imagination or the guy with the pistol is another version of Killy?

It has the Safeguard symbol on his head, so most probably it's a high-level safeguard operative trying to get rid of Killy.
