What is the street pressure, what size is the pipe, what is the temperature ? does it freeze?, is the regulator before irrigation? is irrigation automatic? is there an RP backflow device before the regulator? do you have small leaks that are after the regulator? what make and model are you using? sounds like a cheaper unit.

I had to replace my regulator 3 times in two years.

Why am I having to replace new regulators so frequently?

The original regulator was at 70 Pounds and lasted 6 years before it died.

My 2nd & 3rd regulator was around 65 pounds before they went bad.
