James Pearson graded this route at E12. Dave MacLeod repeated it and suggested the grade E9 6c. Dave Birkett repeated this route, confirming Dave MacLeod's E9 6c grade. Great effort though.

Top! I feel a bit ashamed of wussing out of a VS round the corner (even got my mates to get my gear back).

Nice to see the close ups of the footwork, I don't think my feet are strong enough to stand on one of those holds.

Great effort Dave. One of the most impressive lines I think I've ever seen. Can I just add I was hugely impressed by the professional manner in which you've handled the aftermath of this route, a testemant to your tact as well as you ability on rock. You got straight to the point, but did so without ever sounding superior or belittling James's effort. If I ever send this I Hope, I'll do it half as well, both the climbing and the inevitable grade-bickering.

Unfortunately we didnt have any choice, there was only two of us there and I preferred belayer to camerawoman! So the camera had to sit on it's own on the beach this time round.

Three quarters of the video time passed before he started to climb, then it was from a thousand feet away ! Shame! Could of been wayy better! ?
