@kewgo they are using sugar, however Vibhuti is nice in all temples of the Lord, please there is no different between Hari and Hara. Actually they are inseperable. That fact aside I also like to keep to tradition and offering special items to Vishnu, and others to Mahadev. NAMO NARAYAN!!

and 1 more thing is that 'PANDURANG' means the one is is white in colour. vittal is not white in colour but shiva is white in colour. but as vitthal has worn a shivling on his forehead he called himself panduranga.

What you are seeing here is beautiful deity worship of Lord Vitthal (Lord Krishna). There is difference between what Deity is and what an idol is. Idol is something one can make up according to one's own speculation whereas the form of Deity is based on scriptures of Sanatan Dharma.
