Also, it occured to me that factory-farmed animals suffer way more than an animal hunted in the wild. Even an unclean kill is still far less traumatizing than the lives of the livestock mass-farmed today... maybe hunters aren't so bad after all? All least their prey had many years of freedom, unlike the animals we eat from the store. Just a thought.
I don't like the idea of killing, however in a survival situation one should know how to hunt.... maybe more people hunted during the depression? I don't know but the ecenomy looks really bad right now... I will only hunt if I have to to survive... otherwise live and let live. Hopefully it won't get that bad.

@dougie336 I can see killing birds, but not squirrels. And your wrong, ball bearings going less than 300 fps will not dig into their skin. The only damage they do is blunt force from the impact of the bb. I have 3 modern slingshots and am very accurate with them.
@lambchops1493 predator avi £600 crossbow, discharges a bolt at 315fps, most common use=bear hunting. granted it has a sharper missile but a simmilar speed none the less, and u tend to use 6mm bb's for hunting as they penetrate easyier. p.s. ther is no point in argueing as i have killed squirrels with these things, however only at close range (30 foot or so) and i would not recogmend killing them this way as u do have to be lucky to get a clean kill, but my argument still stands, it is possible

If you are going to hunt animals you should do too things:
1) Have a good reason - be it food, pest control, conservation, etc
2) Have the equipment and aim to be able to reliably achieve a relatively clean and quick kill.
You have neither. You don't look like you could hit a barn door at 5 paces, let alone the vitals of a small fast moving animal. If you had hit it you'd probably just succeed in injuring it.

I luv hunting squirrels, last year I was hunting this reallyy big tough one and it was comin down the tree, i took out a smaller ball bearing and i pelted it and it didnt even budge, so then i took out my big bearings, beaned it it the head, skinned it and ate it 4 supper. :)
