youtube is missen their version of "heart like a wheel" anyone know where i can find it? what beautiful women/music/heart/fun! we're all getten old but beauty only blossems and love keeps on a growen
Perfect. This is the McGarrigles at their very best. Indeed, 1977! Those who experienced them will never forget them. Impossible to believe that Kate is no longer with us - already over a year now ...
Coming home from France in '79, I was amazed at how popular they were abroad and how undervalued they were in English Canada. Complainte pour la Sainte Catherine always makes me happy.
I saw Kate and Anna when I was a teen in the 80s on some concert show - probably pbs - and fell in love with them. Dragged my mother to their show in LA at the Wiltern and bought the three LPs that were out at the time. Had no idea, until recently, Kate was mother to Rufus. Still have a CD of K&S in my car with this song on it.

Anna was seriously fanciable in the '70s.

Time machines must be like this. To see a young Anna and Kate is so sublime. Gracias.

My God but there's a memory from Dudlin in 1976, still as fresh. Thanks for the post.
Some great memories will always stay and even grow.

Kate and Anna had Irish ancestors from Saint John New Brunswick. They talked extensively about this fact during their concert in SJ in 2005 or 2006.

Brave these sisters of Quebec.
In this folk song I hear an influence of IrishMusic. Very beautiful.
