My attempt to be as unbiased as possible: The Mitsu Evo is sharper, harder and edgier than the Impreza, but the Subaru has better torque distribution via it's limited slip diff (on the P1 models especially) and is a more comfortable, easier car to live with day to day.

If you ask me, power is nothing without control, and Subaru's super-clever diff takes the pot.

Evo's suspension and traction control and "clever diff" goes unmatched except that of maybe a r35. a well known (and unfortunate fact) that when compared side by side, the evo ALWAYS has better control around the corners where the subaru suffers loads of understeer.
