  • what happened to part 4? you tease

  • yes...

  • I always liked the rockier elements of the music from this time, although Flo and Eddie never did float my boat

  • dont forget ian underwood

  • thank you so much hazzaroonee! Absolutely awesome show!

  • Amazing. I was only 10 years old in 1970 so I was too young to appreciate this. Wow, just wow.

  • Wow..I was -17 years old in 1970.That makes me want to puke.Too many of us that were born in the wrong time......Maybe not.

  • WOW! that video was sensational! it's too bad Call any vegetable was edited down though, any chance that song in full is still floating around someone's basement? that was amazing, such a fun and surprising set! That version of Who are the Brain Police should have been released on an album! Do you remember that show at all Flo (I'm assuming). was that exceptional or just another gig!!!!

  • Original Freak Out version is better, but at least here Ponty adds some cool electric violin embellishments, which I like.

  • well yes, the freakout version is dark and mysterious and marvellous and suits the song better, but this is just a SMOKING HOT rock performance. Would never have expected Brain Police to break out in that way, but I'm glad it did!

  • u know what chords zappas soloing in?

i got intro by ear already

  • I'm making a tab of this version.

I haven't gotten the solo yet either, but I have the verse parts. How far did you get with it?

  • the song/solo is in the key of C. Blues C mainly

  • Its on one of the YCDTOSA IIRC.

  • what does iirc mean?

  • I agree i enjoy the freak out version but i love this one slighty more because its so different. just proves that its an excellent song that can be plyed different ways and still be amazing! FIVE STARS ZAPPA

  • It's been 37 years and I've never seen it either. This is amazing...and I'm the guy singing. Thanks, hazzaroone.

  • love it!

  • fuckin awesome, zappa is god

  • it DOES NOT get any BETTER than this.

    Thank you hazzaroone

  • I actually just heard this version last night... FUCKING MID BLOWING!.

    Who are the brain POLICE!!!!???????

  • Lol..Mind*

  • thanks for these posts. never seen this before!
