I have 100% German background. Sometimes I feel like others despise me because of what the Nazi's did. That makes me feel pretty terrible because I hate the Nazi's just as much (if not more) than any Jewish person does. Does anyone else feel like they're hated simply because their grandparents or great grandparents were born in Germany? It's pretty difficult to watch without sheding a tear, probably the most emotional scene of any film in history. Schindler is without doub't a hero to many, 1100 people owe their lives to him, a brave and great man who will always be remembered for his brave actions. we can all as a people learn something because of Oskar Schindler having lived.

Only a jew or a german can really imagine how dangerous Schindlers actions were. He truely was one of the most courageous men in history. I remember my grandfather how he was somewhere between hate for Hitler who betrayed the germans and consternation for what happened in the name of germany.

This is among my fav scenes of all time mainly because of Liam Neeson. He knocks it out of the park. Especially around 4:00 when he breaks down crying. Seeing such a big man fall to his knees is just so sad. Seriously one of the greatest bits of acting I've ever seen.

You only think you are destroyed by it. In truth, you are made alive, for you feel - so many feelings of sadness, not having done enough, tragedy narrowly averted... This movie should be required watching for every adult who can stand it in the world.

It's pretty difficult to watch without sheding a tear, probably the most emotional scene of any film in history. Schindler is without doub't a hero to many, 1100 people owe their lives to him, a brave and great man who will always be remembered for his brave actions. we can all as a people learn something because of Oskar Schindler having lived.

@MusicMadGuy2010 I just finished watching the movie on HBO. Seen it many times over the years, but this scene tears at my core every time.
Even if this were NOT based on actual events I would have cried from the magnitude of the scene, but knowing these events took place..well, you're right. There is no scene that has ever evoked more emotion in me, in all my 28 years.

Only a jew or a german can really imagine how dangerous Schindlers actions were. He truely was one of the most courageous men in history. Most germans were much to intimidated by that horrible dictatorship, they just behaved like the three monkey always trying not to attract attention by those nazi dogs, but otherwise too many followed them. I remember my grandfather how he was somewhere between hate for Hitler who betrayed the germans and consternation for what happened in the name of germany.

I'm a jew living in germany and all I can say is that germans are no nazis at all. They truely have learned from what happened in the name of their nation. They feel horrified and sad about the holocaust as everyone else, so please don't insult todays germans.

All im gonna say is this is what can happen when right wing parties with nothing but nationalism on there mind. In britain we have the BNP who basically believe in the same things, a white supremist state with no ethnic minorities or non christians can cannot life.

On almost every video on YT about germans you can find those insulting stereotypes against todays germans, and if there are only a few stupid neo-nazis on a german street it will be on foreign TV to show the world "look, they're marching again"

This is among my fav scenes of all time mainly because of Liam Neeson. He knocks it out of the park. Especially around 4:00 when he breaks down crying. Seeing such a big man fall to his knees is just so sad. Seriously one of the greatest bits of acting I've ever seen.

In fact there were thousands of germans who risked their own lifes to help and hide jewish neighbours and friends from the nazis, and tens of thousands of germans died because they were against Hitler. Finally saw this movie for the first time today - still Spielberg's best, imo, and a stellar performance from Liam Neeson. @gabbee16 did you know that the World Jewish Council (with their financial connection$ around the world) boycotted Germany in 1933 during the heart of the depression. Germany's economy sank even further. Within 5 years you couldn't find "made in germany" written on anything, anywhere outside of germany.
No wonder they wanted to gas people.

This is and always will be the greatest movie ever made. What he did in his life time can not be measured, I only wish he didn't blame him self so much he gave up everything to save so many, "Oscar there are 1,100 people alive because of you look at them" and because of his kindness I am here today because of you Oscar Schindler, I wish I could thank you in person all I can do is say thank you and that you were the greatest hero in this world past, present, and future.
