yeah, i was one of about 10 people looking for your cousin. We got there shortly after 8 when the search for him was started and we didn't find him til around midnight. I was out there on a 4-wheeler, and all i had on was my reflective vest and a pair of jeans and the tempature dropped so much, that it started sleeting on us around 10 or 11. But we finally find him in that cargo bin and i think i actually have a picture of that cargo bin on this video maybe. But that was a bad night.
Wow!!! Watching this brings back so much!!! I live than a mile from Union Grove and that day will forever be like it was yesterday!!! I would also like to add our cousin, Leion Fletcher, lost his life that day...he has 2 amazing boys to cherish his memory!!! Feb. 5th will forever live in Atkins and the lives we lost will NEVER be forgotten!!!

I can see the church (around 2 minutes) from the interstate on my way home from Tech...seeing all the devastation just from the interstate was so awful!
yeah it was bad that night. i worked search and rescue on the north side of atkins all night. it was pretty bad out there. the worst disaster i've ever seen aroung here.

I live in Atkins when that happen I was the news after it happen and I lost a good friend of my that day :'( it is so sad

that is my home town and i moved before the tornados and all my friends were there, none of them were hurt
