I was going to call you on "neighbo[u]r" and "weigh[t]" per the extended version, but there's no longer version for exceptions other than "a" sounds that I could find. There's, awesomely, an excellent wikipedia article on the very subject and I found this gem: i before e except after c but we live in a weird society
Thank you so much for another name to add to my list of comedians to follow - I've been rewatching stand ups over and over so nice to have a fresh name to add to the mix. I've just found some stand-up so far, does he do parody/spoof?
neither Oppenheimer nor Budweiser could reinvent the sleigh..so the eight weird and feisty reindeer went to Einstein to leisurely seize their seismic reimbursement......
Haha it was so well done that I forgot I was watching a youtube video and thought it was actually the news and a real case... lol oh dear, not the best day I'm having here lol
It's been so long since I watched the news that I honestly can't remember. I'm safe from the outside world in my university bubble. It's very comforting!
I'll put this on my list of conspiracIEs to get to the bottom of. FYI out of curiosity I investigated the "thirty days hath september" doggerel and it checked out. However there is some debate about how best to fit the "February exception" into the rhyme. If you can shed any light it would be invaluable to our work. With thanks in advance, -G.
Try the following: "Thirty days hath September, April, June and November. All the rest have thirty-one Save February: twenty-eight days long. Except in Leap Year, that's the time When February's days are twenty-nine" Alternatively: Thirty days have September, April June and November. All the rest have thirty-one Except for February which is just fucking awkward.
Wow--that was amazingly quick, thanks! So any clue why February got short changed in the first place? Before we get off the subject of mnemonics however I wonder if you could help with one more.... This one: My Very Elegant Mother Jumped Swiftly Under Neath... now, it used to end with Papa, but "Papa" (e.i. Pluto) has since been "laid off" as it were. I realize you have a real job making videos to get back to but if inspiration strikes, hit it back!

Latin> English
Your doctor prescribes medicines in Latin.
Scientists catalog plants and animals in Latin.
As for the peasants and commoners give them English.

Marry me?
I've never proposed via text before. Or to someone I don't even know. Or at all for that matter. Still, it's fate I'm sure.

Apart from the cleverness of the content, you have exceptional presentation skills.

haha thanks, I reckon it's all in the head movements - they are always unecessary but it wouldn't be the news without the bob and weave.

I heard:
All the rest have thirty one
Except February alone
which has twenty eight days clear
and twenty nine in each leap year.
Bit lame, but that was the one that was around when I was a kid.
