  • Szakadtunk :D

  • I think that's flying copter was bigger than the men...but it was soi small...

  • haha, thats a Hexacopter Its the most stable radiocontroled flying ...thing.. .:D and its used to carry a camcorder to it... I wish i could have one.. but its somewhere between 1000 and 5000 us dollars... You can also fiind quadcopters for just 300-600 $ but they cant carry alot of load and they aint that stable too

  • Great suspense up front, but shorten beginning; and why not explain that UFO a bit - was it shooting video? Who was that guy?

  • Cool video, cool train..copter was alright..lol...Nice Video!

  • Cool!

  • Excellent catch !!!!

  • hexacopter

  • Your video is rather imressive. Thanks.Cool! Iove your show.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Greetings from the Crimea! :)

  • I don't like the Christmas lights.

  • I think we may have found a Railfan Solution of not tresspassing on Railroad Property. I've seen videos of it, and it flies so high the guys at the Railyard would never see it coming. It's basically a UAV (Unmanned Arieal Vehicle), talk about tech making it's way from the Battlefield to Civilian life.

  • I like the Christmas lights and Santa on the train, but that copter really rocks the house!

  • meant FPV not FPS... First Person View

  • he's also doing FPS (first person shooting)... because of the hood above the radio. He sees exactly what the camera/heli was pointing at.

  • That's a neat gizmo that gentleman had. Probably had a unique vantage point if he had a camera filming that train.

  • @buffaloditka I hope to see a video

  • i was on this train. TWICE!

  • @mark10788 It is a great ride

  • @ervans it sure is.

  • The train has little christmas lights on it :D

  • @montg2perfection They look great at night

  • ET is a railfan

  • Here's the YouTube video by MikroKopter:

    youtube.com/watch?v=gvH2f-AewX8

It is about nine minutes of amazing stuff. Cost is around $4,000 and up. But, great video can be shot with them. So far I have not seen train vids made from Mikrokopters.

  • @AnotherAmateur That does look a lot like it

  • @ervans The link doesn't seem to be working for the MikroKopter anymore :c

  • @AnotherAmateur

    bad URL :(

  • Does that train run at night? It would be awesome to see it at night!

  • quite remarkable, bit of footage, and information, probably your best day out, very good work, many thanks for sharing your work. from Dave in UK. your 4449 is probably as popular as our flying Scotsman, in terms of public interest, and thanks for keeping me posted, best wish to you.

  • @electricchuck Thank you

  • is there a video somewhere of this hex copter?

  • @morfeusz120 I'm looking for one

  • @ervans Some students from the ECE department at my university are attempting to create an application-specific version of the "UFO" you saw... it requires a lot of sensors, control systems, and microcontroller code to make it work correctly, so unfortunately the high price tag does not surprise me.

  • lol

  • TROLOLOLOLOL Ufo... Ha. Yeah, hex copter. :P

  • That thing looked a lot bigger than it was when up in the sky. O.o

  • Most of those are one off, like RC planes. You want to look up DIY drones.

The easiest way to start is the AR Drone. I have one its great, and very hackable. See RK Drone.

  • The steam coming off this train is just beautiful. The UFO is pretty cool too.

  • I would love to have one of those for taking pictures at the ocean!

  • @tjw1963 Thanks tjw, I would like one for Christmas, but I don't think it's going to happen

  • @ervans I did a little more research after I left my comment. It sounds like the military is using spy drones similar to this that have the built in cams.

  • Hey, the CIA is looking for you, Ervan! =) Please be careful! ;)

  • Man that is one cool UFO

  • drone ?

  • Fantastico...espectacular toma...!!!

  • Yes, this is a HexCopter. They are used in movie-making a lot for a cheaper version of aerial video than using a full-blown helicopter. It looks like he's using a GoPro, but these things can also carry other payloads such as a D-SLR camera (which take great video) or any other type of image capturing device. I have a quad-copter (4 rotors instead of 6 like this one) and I have done a lot of aerial video for companies with it. Mine was custom made by myself, but there are options for buying one.

  • @spazman13579 Thank you for the information. Do you have any video from it?

  • heres a web site to some rc quad and tri helicopters u can use as camera platforms. there not cheap though draganfly com

  • Why is it with this train that about mid way through the cars (around the fifth car) I hear like a diesel engine running? I've noticed this in other vids of this rig also.

  • Found it! It's called the 'Hexakopter' and it's made by a company named 'MikroKopter.' They have one shop in the U.S. so far. The website is MikroKopter dot us. I think you have the option of being able to build your own design and they sell you the parts. I just googled it :P

  • @NickTheDrivist That really is the right place. Thank You

  • The Police Service of Northern Ireland may use miniature unmanned aircraft for surveillance purposes and spying on republican groups fighting for independence from Britain.

  • Nice video, as usual, the ufo type thing you were looking at is a uav our police force the PSNI want to buy some so as they can spy on the population

  • somebody wanted a good shot of 4449. lol

  • 3:36 is that realy a gopro camera under the craft?!

  • I don't know if they sell those things but I have seen these before that people have built. The 4-motored ones are called "quad-copters" so that might be considered a "hex-copter". I've seen some with 8 motors. It looks like he had the go-pro and probably another camera that transmitted an image to a screen on his controller.

  • it has a go pro camera

  • There are a couple of designs for rc craft one of them is called draganfly you will find it easily by a google search....

  • @xalint1 Yeah, I tried that but I can't find anything like this one

  • Ok your best bet is a site called Quadrocopter..
