Ames department store Sale commercial

I saw the silhouette of the old location in Ogdensburg, NY in 1999, and this was my first time I was ever in the US. But I am Canadian, and I did this as an excursion from Ottawa (where I live; I was born in Newfoundland and Labrador).

When Ames was in the Chicago market (twice with the purchase of Zayre in 1989 & 7 Goldblatts stores + 6 stores from scratch in 2000) & rarely saw any Ames commercials on TV or heard any on the radio. Before Zayre filed for bankruptcy & sold to Ames, Zayre always had a commercial on the air. I never saw any commercial like this one. I wonder when this commercial was made.

@davenwin1973 I think these mostly aired in the Northeast states where Ames had the highest concentration of stores. I would guess this is from the mid to late 90's. Ames had a number of funny commercials like this around that time period.
