People think too easy. I do not agree with the eye for an eye method or fighting fire with fire. Killing some murderer is too easy and no solution. Eternal imprisonment is better. Hell is waiting already probabably. And yes forgiving is better, you have to move on somehow. Can't let your live be messed up by someone's else and carry on with tortured thoughts, worries and feelings of guilt. Just like at TuTu's truth and reconciliation...forgiving is hard to do , especially when you've been wronged but resentment brings nothing in the end....forgiving brings a second chance in life.

@syntaur Right. Gen. Jodl never murdered anyone or committed crime but was hanged. So was Rosenberg. So was Streicher. Rudolph Hess actually DID assassinate a commie (before ww2) and was NOT hanged ( a great man tho).

I think most of the people get it wrong. She is not giving amnesty by speaking for millions of victims.
She just says: "I am giving amnesty." Which means, she forgives them for what they have done (at that point of time) 50 years ago.
I think she never meant to speak for others. She just speaks for herself by saying "I Eva Mozes Kor, a twin who survived..." ... people should listen to what she says.
But still: a very powerful woman.

forgive does NOT mean it was alright, it means "I will not dwell there in my mind anymore", forgiveness is for the survivor to move forward, it does not mean what most think. it leaves it THERE. it is a PTSD technique written about in some books at holocaust museum and other bookstores. It is not absolution for devilish behavior.

the jews did not suddenly "disappear" during WW2 by any means. In 1927 american jews were 4.2 million while by 1939 the number of american jews had exploded to 12.1 million. The jews waited patiently to instigate WW2 until 1939 when only about 2.2 million jews still resided inside central europe. Jewish riches built the British, USSR and USA empires from the start which pre-formed both of the world war alliances. Nobody has ever shown that the Germans ever had a jewish extermination agenda.
