I can remember saying to my mates in the early sixties, "I know the Beatles are good but you should hear THESE guys!!" I could'nt get enough of 'em. Regards from NZ
Back in 64 when almost everyone else was into the Beatles, I was into this wonderful wonderful band. Still sounds great, does it not? Best wishes from NZ.
Duffy had an awesome voice, wait a minute is one of my all time favorites. I never did hear what he died from, anything I read just said he died suddenly. Sad, but at least thanks ta video cameras & cd's the music lives on.
John Duffy was my absolute favorite tenor singer. From what I understand, from Bluegrass Unlimited, he died from a massive heart attack. Sad day it was.
The Country Gentlemen is my favorite band of all time. Actually, my top TWO favorite bands. There's this version, then there's the Lawson/Emerson/Yates version. What a wealth of great material, and the best lead singer of all time, Charlie Waller! Thanks for posting this dude!
This is good as it gets. I found a picture that I had taken with Charlie at a bluegrass festival in the seventies....think I will have it enlarged.....only drawback is the length of my hair. What will I tell the kids?...lol

If Charlie Waller sings it, I like it! He's gone, may he RIP, but we still have his music.
