  • nice video.i fleshed and dehaired a hide last year and had to let it set.now i have raw hide and want to know if i can soften it up and make leather out of it?im afraid im screwed.thanks for any advice you can give.

  • @BCRachelReed Hey nice one, so I just use Borax from the garden centre. the kind you use on potatoes. Does that then dehair the skin. I am new to this in a way. Thanks for your time :)

  • @jccrick123 hey you can make a lariot out of deer skin you would have to cut 1 forth wide strip round and round and round then wet it all down and strech it out it would be more than 100 ft the first streach cut into forths and weave it thanks . have a great day.

  • just one question, How to make rawhide brighter ? because after drying a skin becomes dark brown =(. Do you know what should I do?
