  • Still NO PROBLEM FOUND!!!

why?? BECAUSE THERE WAS NONE.. JUST IDIOTIC DRIVERS NOT WANTING TO TAKE RESPONSIBLY FOR OWN THERE STUPIDITY !!!!

Also, NEVER happened outside of AMERICA!!!

  • 18000

  • Hey graciedog, if the problem is real, then how come all of a sudden they've all stopped? Why hasn't there been any 'run away Toyota's' in the last 6-8 months? They sure didn't all get fixed in that amount of time. I know this because I know of 10 vehicles just on my street that didn't go in for the 'recall'. So, how come they've all just magically stopped happening? Mean while, you say your american car has no problems? Better look up fords no brakes problems they are having right now.

  • The problem here is toyota cant figure out whats wrong! Floor mats arent the problem and DHALSIM33.. YOU CANT SHIFT THEM TO NEUTRAL! Your the stupid one here and as for turning the car off. You get on the freeway and turn your car off and see what happens to the POWER ASSIST BRAKES AND POWER STEERING YOU DOLT! They disappear! The fix here is DONT PUT YOUR FAMILY AT RISK BY BUYING A TOYOTA!

  • Feb 8 2011 Government report no electronic fault with toyotas

"We feel that Toyota vehicles are safe to drive," declared Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood.

this is from the government and NHTSA that reported this

    a quote from the report

"Transportation officials, assisted by engineers with NASA, said the 10-month study of Toyota vehicles concluded there was no electronic cause of unintended high-speed acceleration.?

  • @emforty2 ... they have noted that the problem cant be found. They were cleared because the computers arent showing what the problem is! The problem has not been corrected yet because toyota doesnt know whats wrong! Its obvious there is a problem so what is it? Why did toyota fight to hide the problems? Why didnt they report it to the safety admin as LAW requires? Toyota has lied many times over about the problems with their cars! You cannot deny that!

  • I WAS ALMOST KILLED IN MY TOYOTA '06 4 RUNNER ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS WITH MY TWO YEAR OLD IN THE BACK! NEVER EVER EVER WILL I BUY ANOTHER TOYOTA!! THIS WAS BEFORE ALL THIS CRAP WAS IN THE MEDIA...THEY TOLD ME IT WAS MY FLOOR MATS!! TO BAD MY ATTORNEYS PROVED OTHERWISE. I HAVE BEEN CONTACTED FROM AROUND THE GLOBE FROM LAWYERS THAT HAVE CASES AGAINST TOYOTA. THIS IS A REAL PROBLEM....WAIT UNTIL THESE CARS GET HIGER MILES AND ARE KILLING NOT ONLY THE PEOPLE DRIVING THEM BUT ALSO THE INNOCENT!

  • oh snap

Nasa concludes "The report determined that two mechanical defects in the accelerator pedal "

yup, faulty gas pedal. that carquestion guy owns NASA 2500 dollars

  • i wouldn't buy a Toyota nor the Honda to beat the shit out of. id rather buy a ford and they suck.

  • toyota...[T]he [O]ne [Y]ou [O]ught [T]o [A]void

  • I personally think it's deliberate. It's kamikaze!! XD

  • toyota moving forward-even when you dont want to

  • its kamikaze in a car

  • I hate hate hate how foreigners call Americans stupid... On an American website.. Smooth guys. Toyotas are not lower quality than American cars.. They are just no better. This problem is due to the fact that they are trying to overproduce new models that will still compete with American cars because American cars have made such a comeback

  • @heresthelastone and a website proves that yanks aren't stupid? lol...

  • @Darusdei no its just slightly hypocritical that americans are dumb and cant do anything and then are using TONS of American creations etcetera... its just kind of irritating.

  • that's why you should buy german and swedish made cars. I have volkswagen golf gti and I fucking love it.

  • i think this is rather "learn to drive" issue...

  • Toyoda should be shut down

  • This also happened to my 1993 Toyota Previa. It was scary, but I put the car in Neutral until I come to a stop near the side walk. Then I turned off the engine. What happened was the throttle plate was stuck opened. This was back in January of of 2007.

  • TOYOTA IS FULL OF IT!!! I HAVE A 2007 TOYOTA 4RUNNER v8, THAT HAS THE SAME PROBLEM....PROBLEMS WERE DOCUMENTED BEFORE THIS WAS EVER EVEN IN THE MEDIA!!! THEY CONTINUE TO DENY DENY DENY...AND PUT THE SAFTEY OF MY FAMILY IN DANGER EVERY SINGLE DAY......NEVER EVER WILL I BUY A TOYOTA AGAIN.......I HAVE ALMOST BEEN KILLED IN THIS CAR SEVERAL TIMES!! SHAME ON YOU TOYOTA...ADMIDT THAT YOU HAVE A PROBLEM AND QUIT KILLING PEOPLE EVERY DAY KNOWING THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @888shelly888

I THINK THAT YOU ARE FULL OF SHIT!!!!!!

ALL YOUR HISTORY CONSISTS OF FINDING TOYOTA VIDEO'S AND BASHING THEM!!!

ARE YOU LOOKING FOR THE NEAREST AMBULANCE TO CHASE??

  • The problems are with the fat american drivers who are too lazy and stupid to move floormat into correct position or trying to get out of car payment cause they are out of a job.

Then we have Obama, his car company, and the liberal left wing media trying to shove a $42,000 electric car down our throats saying it was a good idea to bail out a failing out industry that was failing largely due to overpaid underqualified labor union workers and ceo's.

  • How stupid does american media and net spammers look now that its proved beyond a doubt that there never were any particular faults with Toyota cars. All those idiots complaining of accelerating cars were all just trying to cash in or blaming the car when they crashed. The whole thing was just a hatecampaign to claw back some desperately needed market shares for american brands.

  • Just drive an American car and save a life..

  • ive never trusted them lol. ever..

  • Why would anybody buy a Toyota, this problem has existed for years and has been covered up.

  • @Blackcuda What do you drive?

  • according to consumer reports sudden acceleration can happen on any car

hit the brakes and put it in neutral according to one of their videos

most acceleration problems are driver error

  • a clown show... aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa i can't stop the car!!!;)) you are an idiot, your license should be suspended

  • We need to thank Toyota of purging the world of idiots who can't think. Besides, those idiots would've died of something else sometime in the future anyways, due to their stupidity.

  • never will i drive a toyota. never ever.

  • If i was driving a car and putting the car in N didnt work ide turn the car off

  • @Paganiproductions

built in the United States by Toyotas design. And this doesn't put blame on toyotas poor knowledge in electrical engineering.

  • For the so called defected car owners ; Instead of going after Toyota, Check out who is trying to to get you Sacked out of society.

  • y dont the drivers jus put it on neutral or they jus shift down??

  • you americans are so fuckin stupid... SHIFT TO NEUTRAL or turn the engine OFF!!!

  • @dhalsim33

you cant turn the engine off since its computer controlled and theres no key. its a push button.

but americans are dumb for buying jap shit, now people are buying that korean shit which is a lot more dangerous

  • @taledarkside you can turn it off - gotta hold it for 3 seconds . if you dont have 3 sec shift to N!!!

  • @dhalsim33

3 seconds is a long time. especially traveling at 50mph. And thats if the kill switch even works on the toyota, since it goes to the ECM instead of going straight to the coil.

  • @taledarkside yea but why dont you say something about switching to NEUTRAL????!!! How do you get licenses if you don't know what neutral is and how the car works?????

  • @dhalsim33

You can switch to neutral all you want, but if the neutral is controlled by solenoids that needs permission from the ECM, then your screwed. Just like the kill switch.

You don't have mechanical control if everything can be override by the computer. The only real output you have are the brakes and the steering wheel.

  • @taledarkside the gearbox is mechnanic, controlled by a computer. Its not some software so you can always switch to N

  • @dhalsim33

Automatic transmissions have solenoids that are controlled by an ECM that uses TPS and MAP sensors to determine shift points. They can also override a person shifting gears when the computer things it will do damage.

how many auto transmissions have you rebuilt?

  • @dhalsim33

here ya go. welcome to the 1990s

    watch?v=24gkmDDV0C8

    solenoid shifting cars.

typical toyota owners that don't know shit about cars thats why they bought a toyota in the first place instead of a German made car.

  • @taledarkside

excuse me but i have a 2008 Toyota - Manual and my sister 2008 - automatic. Could you explain me why there are no "incidents " with my or hers car,NO incidents in my country and no incidents in whole Europe and i beleive in the rest of the world except for the USA?

  • @dhalsim33

So I already know your an idiot since you own a Toyota. worst cars built besides Korean made. Id rather own a car that Mr bean drives in England.

Your making an assumption that it didn't happen in europe. You have to go through 1000s of accident reports of toyota cars for the last 6 years. You can count my country out in europe since people are not dumb enough to buy a toyota.

  • @dhalsim33

doing a google search, which I don't really care about, since I knew toyotas were a POS car since the 80s. And don't care about their performance in other countries, this article states what you toyota owners lie about

"Yet instead of connecting the dots, Toyota dismissed the sticky gas pedal issue as a quirk of the right-hand drive vehicles used in the UK for months after the reports began in December 2008."

  • @dhalsim33 It's not that us, Americans, are stupid. It's because people can be such money and attention whores. Once something happens, people are just so eager to make claims, and if they are true, why don't we ever see them happening in videos? Because they don't exist.

  • @banstaman i'm sorry i don't really think that way for all americans ,but for most of them. Nothing new - smart americans think the same way as far as i know ;)

  • @dhalsim33 And yes, the people who chose not to/don't listen to instructions to shift into neutral ARE stupid-fucks.

  • @dhalsim33

Just by reading you I can tell.. Bulgarians are all fucking genius.....:D.. arrogant ass..take care of you own country you prick!

  • @Axon36 I never said Bulgarians are smarter - in every country most of the people are stupid like sheeps. You too

  • @Axon36 and another thing -most people here drive manual. here we take driving lessons on manual gearbox so everyone learns how the car works.retards like you who take lessons on automatic get licence for automatic and don't have the right to drive manual gearbox cars.

  • @dhalsim33 NO SHIT, some people are so fucking stupid.

actually you called it, AMERICANS, are so fucking stupid.

  • You cant turn the engine off thats part of the problem dumbass

  • @steamingpoopfart Why not? You Can drive with no power streering and no power brakes.

  • @dhalsim33 I would venture to say that if this happens to you. There would be some panic. It has nothing to do with being American or any other nationality. Calling us fuckin stupid only diminishes your comment.

  • @GoMetricToday well im sure i'd panic if i don't know how to drive. here you first learn how the car functions when you go to driving lessons!

  • @dhalsim33 You Bulgarian cunt. let's see you try to be calm enough to keep a clear head while your car starts speeding 100 mph down the freeway. Never had that happen? Then shut the fuck up.

  • @hundredand if you have time to talk on the phone, you have time to shif on neutral or turn the engine off. little ho'

  • shift gear to neutral, idiots

  • @mathewjohn5174 Not always that works in some cases.

My father had his car move off on its own despite the lever being in the infamous P position.

Luckingly the gas pedal was at idle so it only hit the garage door as he got out.

After some testing of the Volvo at the dealership and them trying to write off the problem, a mechanic actually managed to reproduce the fault and the car moved forward with the lever in P.

Infamous quote: Never trust a computer you cannot throw out the window.

  • The cars are defective you moron, its the electronic throttle control. Not the damn drivers.

  • my mom brought a 2003 camry and had to return it because it speed up for no reason at a red light, she had to turn off road or we would of hit the car in front of us.

I was there and it scared the shit out of us. Brand new car, had it for less then a week.

  • Thank for showing another fraud case.

I'm sure your car is made in USA.

  • On the TV, with a GREAT Unversity professor which kind of prove they did it ABC news ?

    It was FAKE.

    They say "I'm sorry ?"

and now, fault of mattress ?

    Don't make laugh us.

    LIAR ! TRASH !

    SHAMELESS people.

  • How does software and electical issues cause the hydraulic brake fulid to fail and mechanical cable to emergency brake to fail!

  • I like to know who is really telling the truth about the runaway Toyotas? I heard that both the Driver in San Diego and Toyota are both covering up this supposed runaway.

  • @myHome109 Because the engine and forward momentum will over power the brakes, and brakes efficacy will fade when they are overheated.

  • To all the Anti-Toyota people out there, please explain how electrical or software issue could cause failure in the redundant braking systems. 1) 4 independent brakes separated with a hydrualic metering block. 2) Redundant hydraulic braking system failure due to electical or software failure and 3) causing the mechanical cable to the emergency brakes to fail. 4) also cause failure in the brake pedal engine over-ride function 5) transmission engine over-ride function 6) ignition switch

  • @TheMos2818 yeah i have to agree because if you put a person use to a 100 hp car and upgrade it to a 278 hp lexus es250 the acceleration is about twice as much and some idiots will call it "unintended acceleration" also idiots who drive automatic.. toyota installed tiptronic systems in most of the cars they drive and if they floor it while on just regular drive it will shift down and give them even more power

  • Why these people always think about saving American Auto Industry. Think about saving your life. What would you think if your the one driving those defective cars. You have to thank these people who valiantly fight these giant company who want to hide defects and bring you to sudden death. Don't blame Ford or GM they're trying to make good cars, don't waste their effort. If not with these american company in the first place you might probably still riding chariots and horses.

  • Is this going to save American auto industry ?

  • Perhaps, it should also help the European auto industry. Nissan, Honda, and Hyundai are probably partying too.

  • IT staged by GM and government to blackmail the Toyota!

They can't beat Toyota as it makes honestly best cars for price. Now their strategy is to blackmail Toyota.

  • lol, how funny that all these people came out to sue toyota and blame all the problem after the recall. how come they dont show up when it happened. These people are trying to extort toyota.

  • Let's see ZERO reported problems FROM -

    - UK, Europe, China, South Asia

CAn you spell AMERICAN WITCH HUNT?

  • I think its so funny these Americans. First Toyota totally devastated their car industry by producing cars of far higher quality, imported from Japan, then they had to let Toyota into the US to produce "American built" cars. They bought Toyotas in greater numbers. Then those same American built Toyotas started killing them. So they complained. Remove all that electronic ECU crap along with the injectors and electronic throttles. Fit carbs, a throttle cable, and bottom hinged gas pedal.

  • Take a look at this indepth response from Carquestions on Youtube: /watch?v=G3gQWGZ8uBw

  • From a lot I have been reading about I kind of get the feeling people may shift into neutral, hear the engine rev even higher, then panick from that and put it back into drive.

  • here in philippines, there is lot of totyota cars

but i haven't hear any accident...maybe across other countries there is lot.

  • Toyota wasn't actually known as quiality cars, but affordable instead.

  • If SUA happens to you shift to Neutral and break, if the break does not stop pull the damn hand break if that does not stop it, turn off the engine but do not switch to lock position because if you do, your steering would lock. You are safe with old car Disfajig because old cars use mechanical. Electronics may tends to fail more than mechanical. They must go back to mechanical at least for acceleration part I guess.

  • My family has a 1990 Toyota 4runner, and I find it funny that our older car is safer than the newer ones being produced.

  • I won't EVER buy another Toyota after this nonsense! Why would anybody? All they care about is recall expenses. WE'RE ALL IN DANGER because of their cars! Why should we believe anything that's coming out of Toyota? It's a wear flaw in their modules. It'll only get worse as their fleet gets older! They need to Replace it, even if they can't replicate the exact problem. This is not an exercise. They have 3 trillion yen in financial strength. Spend 2 billion dollars FIXING THIS NOW!!

  • Comment removed

  • people in these interviews are just ridiculously stupid. if your car is accelerating out of control, wouldn' t you think about putting it in neutral? people could easily save themselves from themselves and their own stupidity. i believe this whole issue has been blown out of proportion. remember the american cars back in the 80s and 90s with the bombs they called gas tanks? it's just america trying to kill japanese car companies by finding a problem and beating it to death.

  • Toyota is using there customers as crash dummies!

  • @lander4545 more like cash dummies

  • Why not just reach up and turn the car to accessory mode, even an automatic can be put in neutral, not that one should have to do that but if it happens there are still options to keep you from crashing.

  • yep, this could happen to any company, BUT lying about it for half a decade to the consumers and the government... Japan is making a new fleet of Kamikazees u know who it is? TOYOTA OWNERS. enjoy ur deathtraps.

  • And this is why driving a manual transmission is better.

Any number of manufacturers can have the same or similar problem, but with a manual you could have shifted to a lower gear and saved yourself an accident.

  • "and even if he had an automatic car used a low gear mode" no automatic transmission in any modern production car by any manufacturer will allow you to shift into a lower gear after a certain speed to avoid engine damage. next time your out move your shifter from D to 2 or 1 while at highway speeds-nothing will happen, it will NOT downshift.

  • Only the FACTS - NHTSA has rec'd millions of complaints about SUA - they have never found a car by any manufacturer that was able accelerate by itself out of control due to a faulty part or system

  • Drive-by-wire cars are meant to kill.

  • The problem only exists on North American built Toyotas ...always make sure when you buy a Toyota that the first digit of the VIN is a J (built in japan) to get true Toyota quality. Even North American Toyotas are way higher quality than any of the "domestics" (built with mostly parts from China and Mexico) . When Toyota has the smallest glitch the media jumps all over it and blows it out of proportion. If they did the same with GM Ford and Chrysler that would be a very thick newspaper.

  • toyotacanadaguy is this just a completely knowingly biased statement or are you really that stupid? the media fried ford over the explorer fiasco. there is more american content in my ford truck than ANY toyota EVER. as for japan built toyotas not having this problem, all lexus models have denso(japan built)pedal assemblies there are no less than two videos on youtube of lexus' UA killing people-with countless videos of lexus UA problems and thats just whats on youtube.

  • Chrysler had the same issue but that stays off the air.

  • Kudos to ABC for taking a lead in informing the public. That is what news is supposed to do. I have always been partial to NBC news, but I think this will change that. Toyota execs should be sentenced to drive Toyotas...and die.

  • Its only a problem in the US. Elsewhere in the world people have enough about them to go to Neutral and break

  • That guy sounds kind of calm, he should have told the driver to shift to neutral.

  • if this should happen to you just shift into netural and brake

  • @valdi9165 my ass most american cars give in at 1 km lol bs imma not buying not to mention agm car the best cars are always german

  • The Prius also had the accelerator sticking problem but Toyota chose not to include the Prius in the recall along with the other affected models because if you had a Prius and the accelerator stuck you wouldn't notice it anyway...

  • Why didn't that guy just switch to neutral or just turn off the engine?

  • you should not turn off the engine...because that will turn off the power steering and power assist brakes and make it much harder to control the car at high velocity.

what the guy should have done was to put the gear in neutral, and then apply brakes and once the speed slows down, just move in a snake like motion (as you would in ice).

  • @lavakava yes, thats true, but i think the guy tried to brake when the car was accelerating and lose his is brakes.. thats one way.. but if doesn't work the last resort it's the way i explained.. even whiteout power steering you can control the car, not easy, but it's possible..

  • i was at a traffic light, and a chrysler dodge stratus to the left of me immediately burst into flames from the hood...luckily the driver jumped out...and i sped away from the flaming car.

japanese are paying dearly due to american govt conspiracy and media.

i would still buy only toyota/honda...they are far more reliable and safer. if accelerator sticks, then put it in neutral and turn engine off, brake and drive in snake motion...finish

  • shit happens, search youtube for videos of toyotas on fire.

  • americans are such fools...they don't realize that this is a conspiracy by government (uncle sam) to promote GM (government motors) and ford both of which are on the verge of bankruptcy. accelerator/brake problems happen in ALL models and 5% of total drivers in the US (that is 10's of thousands) and kills many. It comes with all makes and models.

American cars are more susceptible to random engine fires...a family got burnt to death in a chevy malibu, and another in a suburban...

  • You guys make me laugh,, ha ha ha and you are Americans lol so funny, i've been here trying to defend you and now i hate you like the rest of the world. buy your Toyota's don't mean shit to me.

  • You are a moron and make other Canadians look bad, you goof.

  • Where do the billions in profit go?

How much is Japan giving to charity?

Nothing? gp figure that' what i'm telling you. Wake up! KID.

  • I don't know what the hell you're talking about here. Toyota employs AMERICANS, they provide jobs for AMERICANS.

  • Toyota certainly does not build crap, and you don't know jack shit. I mean what do you think? That Toyota just managed to earn a reputation for building great cars by building junk? You're a moron.

They didn't handle this problem very well but at least it's the ONLY major safety related problem they've had. GM has had recalls for many other safety related problems, including problems with accelerators sticking.

  • Hey lets all buy Japanese cars..... You know what I hope the entire USA goes tits up because of your stupidiy moron

  • If the US goes "tits up" it's going to be because companies like GM and Chrysler keep demanding that the American people pay for their mistakes!

  • the U.S. will actually make money from the bailout. thats how loans work. you pay intrest. GM has already started repaying the government.

  • The BANKS make money off of the loans, the American people don't get jack shit repaid to them. Meanwhile we are in debt, and we will be in debt for a VERY long time.

  • ? This recall is in Europe and China it does not only happen to Americans.

  • Why is it that only Toyota is being attacked or criticized? What about Ford or the GOVERNMENT'S COMPANY GM? Are their cars all clear? without any kind of accidental problems???????Think about that!!!! When Toyota becomes number 1 in America, suddenly this kind of

national movement that was triggered by the media occurrs!! I feel government's oppression

  • It can happen to any car anywhere...it just happens ALOT more to Toyotas.

  • It's not only a US problem, In fact toyota had been receiving a large number of complaints in europe as well as canada. Pressure for a prius recall concerning the brakes came out of japan. Yeah government conspiracy huh? Also Prior to August 2009, 40% of all unintended acceleration issues reported to the NHTSA involved toyotas. It's highly disproportionate to the number of cars they sell.

  • I mean, first of all, the fuckin part was made by an American manufacturing company!! Its NOT MADE IN JAPAN!!! Its like MADE IN USA!! Damn it!! TOyota has to ask AMerican manufacturing companines to make some of their parts in order to evade trade conflict. But that eventually lead this problem.

  • Toyota has lost it's focus on quality. Girlfriend's 09 Camry has been back to dealer 4 times for different issues. Now an appointment for Sudden Acceleration.

  • honda is the best.

  • its the Electronic Control Module

  • That's what happen when people don't buy American . Toyota its turning American drivers in to kamikaze pilots .

  • @carquestions

I don't think this is hysteria...the Audi case did not involve the number of deaths as with Toyota. These people spent $35K and up for assumed Japanese quality....

  • @johnlouisville - It most certainly did!. 7 deaths in total - They all sued and all lost. In 89 NHTSA issed a final report listing it as "driver error" - By the way NHTSA has closed investigations just like this in the past against GM for 60 million cars! Why cant these big news outfits do a little REAL investigating and research and give an historical perspective?- This is bush league journalism at its worst - no wonder people are seeking out independent news on the net - networks can't report

  • @carquestions

I think the sensational aspect of some of the accidents might be to blame....There were never any Audi accidents like the San Diego, Lexus stuck accelerator wreck that wiped out an entire family of four. The released 9-11 tapes make for sensational media play.

You're right on the Audi case...an exceptional car maker,s reputation was smeared. The Corvair ended up not being as dangerous was was thought...The Pinto...that was another story.

  • japanese cars sucks ok i have a volkswagen jwtta 2009 and i trable oregon to new york every month and there its NO PROBLEMS ok GERMAN cars and USA cars and MEXICAN cars are better than those cheps japanese cars and chinnsesessss cars ok

  • Don't blame Japanese Toyota company. Remember the car is made in usa. Not 100% pure japanese made car. it more like 50 jap./50 usa parts

  • @aznminhboi

    with japenese engineering.

US and europe have been building cars for 100 years

  • @aznminhboi I agree with you it's just funny how japan say's it's the american company's fault when it was a part manufactured to toyotas specifications.

  • POS jap cars.

I've been preaching that since losers thought they were the greatest cars.

  • Yeah, American automobile makers are doing GREAT!

    Oh, wait.

  • @YoMomSaddam

Ford is doing awesome. And they are hiring 1000 people in chicago.

  • YoMom, you are right..they are doing great. Especially Ford.

  • really well no such incidents hav occured like this, or engine sludge, or brakes not working. seems like sum 1 shud buy a GM vehicle.

  • This is retarded lol.

  • It is NOT the floor mat. This has happened to me 5 times and I took the car into neutral with the engine screaming, my feet were off all pedals and the accelerator pedal was not being held down by anything. Once in neutral I was able to brake but I could not switch off the engine, and when in gear it was accelerating against the brakes - scary.

  • Check the gas pedal again. They said it might stick without it because of it's design. I would doubt its the electronic throttle. It isn't that complicated of a device. You know what. The intake valve might be stuck or at least sticks.

  • All you have to do is hit the brakes. The brakes in just about any vehicle will easily overpower the engine. You could also put the car in neutral. You would have to be a moron to have an accident because of this problem.

  • Interesting issue with the brakes.

    watch?v=FT07_JbnKWQ

  • yup

  • Brilliant! Go imports!!!! Toyota!!!

  • GM has serious problems with fires, drive wheels locking up, steering columns coming off of the rack, gas tanks falling out, throttles sticking open, tie rods coming off of knuckles, etc. No one really even knows about these problems and when you tell people about them they just shrug and say whatever. But man...when a Japanese company has a safety related problem every moron out there has to blow it WAY out of proportion and talk about how shitty "ricer crap" is.

    Bravo morons.

  • Show 'em

  • Still no proof of the GM steering column disconnect recall, Wide open throttle recall, Tie rod failures, drive wheels locking up, huh? That's what I figured.

If anything it's the exact opposite, The domestic cars rreport recalls on the news ans imports hide them

  • WTF do you mean no proof? Google it retard!

  • because ricer crap is shitty

  • GM crap is MUCH MUCH worse.

  • And who said American cars suck?

Sorry I'd buy some car that breaks down alot over a car that kills people.

Hell my SS never even has problems.

  • turn the key off

  • Many of these cars have push button ignitions. You can't just pull the key out. You have to know the sequence to shut down the car while it's moving.

  • The car they were in was a Lexus and it doesn't have a key. Its a push button system that is disabled when the vehicle is in drive. You have to shift into neutral or park and THEN hold the button for 3 seconds... Something you wouldnt know in a panic situation..

  • DUMB ANSWER.

It doesn't work. These cars are push button ignition.

  • what key? many of these vehicles dont have a key to turn off.
