I have a Hauppauge HD PVR - Model: 1219 (Newest Blue-Glow Model). It's the Model just before this Green glowing Hauppauge. The Hauppauge that you are sending back, which model was it? 1212 or 1219? Because i heard that the 1212 Model had some problems with it such as Overheating. But i've never heard anything bad about the 1219.

@PunkRocker5681 The cables work only in tv's with a component slot. And yes, the PVR will work fine on your windows 7 HP laptop if you use the software that comes with the PVR :)

when i have the usb unplugged i can see the game on the tv fine. but when i plug in the usb and open eyetv the screen starts flashing black green and red and eyetv says there is not signal.

@Whalphins Try switching between channels on EyeTV. There should be little arrow either side of the text in the middle of the record button image thingy.

@PS3VideoGamer99 the normal hd pvr and gaming edition record in the same quality. the gaming edition just comes with some wires that you would normally have to buy seperatly. the delay is also a bit less from your ps3 to the pc moniter. the gaming edition is just a little more convenient than the normal one. also the file sizes are smaller i think, so that might mean shorter rendering. im getting a gaming edition soon:)
