  • This is amazing mate.

I've got one like this and i am really upset after seeing this video.

The thing is that its zoom is 18x which enables me to take pictures of stuff few meters away of me perfectly, but of the MOON, no way.

I have tried many times and it just cant catch the moon.

Plz, plz, can you tell me how u did this?

What was the setting that enabled u to capture the moon in this brilliant way?

    thank u in advance

  • Use SPOT METERING, x2 Extra Lens [ look on ebay] and a TRIPOD, do the first zoom optical and wait to focused, then use the DIGITAL ZOOM, gently zooming in....I will be doing more soon when the weather clears here in the UK...

  • That's very useful..

what x2 does exactly, is it for the moon only ?

    excuse my question plz

thank you so much for ur help.

    really appreciated

  • 2.0x Tele Conversion Lens for Panasonic FZ28

A Tele Conversion lens is used to to enlarge the central part of an image obtained by the objective lens. The use of a 2× tele conversion lens (or doubler) gives the effect of using lens with twice the focal length. You can also find on ebay some other lens to increase the focal length, only use screw threads types and you might need Ring Converters to match up old screw lenses to the FZ28..

Start off with a FZ28 X2 Lens, see how you get on. Ebay !!

  • Not only for the Moon,, it can be used to Zoom on anything far off,, Digital Zoom is not the best, Optical Zoom [ Lens range] is the Best !!

Digital Zoom only increases photo size, so the closer it is the blocky it gets, Optical is the true Zooming in.. Good Luck..

  • u r really the best.

I dont know how to thank u mate.

Really appreciated ur kindness and help.

    I'll definitely take ur advice.

    Regards.

  • chemtrail !!! ^_^

  • hi mate. this is the best camera i have ever owned. Spot metering works best when filming the moon. Do you have Vista? If you do then save all your photos/videos from this camera and edited them on Windows Movie Maker. Then save the file in HD. Upload to YouTube and you won't beleive how good it looks.

    All the best, Alan

  • Thats correct.. the last part of zoom is digital, and its quite good when you use the digital zoom on still photos [ always use a tripod though !] thanks for the comment..

  • nice!

    that is a 32x zoom ?

  • 72X zoom
