@nubreedbear; who is your father in law. I know the guy who had the original car in Salt Lake in the late 90's, his name is Paul Workman. It was still owned by Joe but Paul is an Olds guy and ran the car for a few years at rocky mtn raceway and some other venues
I have watched this car run many times in Crossville,Tn.( I-40 Dragway )Really nice ride.I think I have some more vids of it,will post when I find them.
WOW! If I only knew Oldsmobiles could be found on you tube? I would have been in line to be one of the first people to sign up! I want to THANK ALL for feeding my addiction to OLDSMOBILES!!!!
I was there that day and have video of the hurst olds pace cars race. Also have Dr.Dans 403 and a few more...Man I was in heaven that day. I seen Joe Mondello and Dick Miller and even got video of Dick Miller giving the finger on tape..hahaha I will keep that though! PRICELESS
Nice looking engine from the guy who brought us hi performance Olds first. I got a chance to talk to Joe on the phone when I ported my heads. He gave me some great advice. I'm real happy with his JM 4-5 Camshaft too. Like the man said, "Horsepower not just promises".
Love the new engine and paint job. I would have liked to have seen it in action though. Especially since it has the Knowlton heads on it now. Anyone know the Dyno results for the latest 482 engine combo on this ride?
They were having trouble with it this day. Mondello said they had about $20,000.00 in the motor. The only other video featuring the car Ive seen on youtube is from one of my youtube friends called alkyinjected which shows it racing another Olds. I kinda prefer the car in the original blue color but I didnt like the striping on the side.
Yeah, I saw that one. If I ever get the chance to see it live, I AM SOOO THERE! I've been an Olds man since the late 70's and had a '71 442 I raced way back in the day. Had to sell it though and have sorely missed it since. Thanks for posting all your vids and pics. We have to keep Olds alive since GM killed it. Something I take much pride in.
