ive decided that you are better off without sliding keyboard. the extra thiness you get on htc models without sliding keyboards make it so much nicer to hold. i find a stylus types just as fast as a sliding keyboard on these devices. sliding keyboard adds to much thickness.

So basically HTC had the first finger touch phone on the market despite Apple's boasting, these phones were in buyers hands first.

I think Apple going to have a rude awakening with this phone being announced earlier and don't forget about the HTC Advantage out in 2006!

Plus they had the very first Touch screen in 2002 before Apple was even in the game! haha.... yes... I think Steve Jobs has Brain Damage on top of being an asshole!

I was thinking of getting rid of my Palm Centro and switching to this HTC but thanks to your feedback I definitely gave up. Palm OS maybe outdated but it´s simple and reliable, and I can write my own apps without knowing anything about programming. WM, on the other hand, is too complicated Thanks.

i cant believe ive carried it for nearly 2 and a half years......... ive endured its regular routine of self reboots at least 5 times per day every day. Plus small amounts of shock when in my pocket (like TINY shock when i walk around to extreme like snowboarding) plus it is extremely sluggish and terrible . boring fone. it was fun at first but soon u realize windows mobile OS gets pretty limited... everything is way too costly and the fone hardware is way too crappy.

this phone is terrible. ive traded mine in 3 times. its very user friendly at first but then it gets sooooo slow and freezes all the time. the white one cracked all the time and takes forever to start up. so yeah its cool at first but it screws you over in the end so dont get it

Wont have to worry about that since they don't make it anymore. But you are right. I got it in Feb of 2008 and it was ok for the first three months. then I had nothing but problems with it until it stopped working altogether in November. The phone is very bad.

the keypad is small but if you change the settings, and turn the phone on it's side, and put it on "Touch Keyboard" it actually works quite well (though it make take a little getting-use-to).

Over all I'm pretty pleased with my phone so far.

I just replace the screen protector every few weeks and still looks pretty new. And that's saying something =) lol

I actually have to say that the HTC is the best phone I've had so far. Youtube videos will work, by simply downloading skyfire which only take a few minutes, and doesn't take up too much space. I have had several phones to freeze, stall and just plan die on me (Razor, Moterrolla Q, ect.). So far I haven't had those issues with the HTC.

Ok dude you need to learn about the phone before you start talking about it. You can change the keyboard to something a little bit easier to use.........But i still do not recommend this phone, maybe it is just me., but after a little while this phone gives up.

i like this phone-i wouldnt say love because there are a few flaws like: the phone freezes poor cam quality you cant watch youtube (only if you a special software) you cant charge and listen to music with headphones oh..it does freeze alot (seriously) i had this phone for..2 years... i think.. and now the text messaging doesnt work anymore does anybody recommend a better phone than this? (there are some things i do like about this phone) so any suggestions? (no slide)

PS! In the end I value easy and fast (internet) performance, easy menus and good video/audio more than design or 1 billion Meg.pix camera :P

...it's great, love that phone!

Reviewed all the phones I mentioned and thought this was the best, got it without extra payment with unlimited internet from Vodafone :)

Also, Android is good and it's new and getting better and better with lots of (mostly) free/cheap games and apps

Would recommend it to anybody!

It freezes a lot, when talking on the phone, many applications are opened, if dropped four times, prepare to buy a new phone.

You se now. You don;t have to plot away with the stylus like a bumbeling idiot. There are other apps for on screen keyboard. The xt9 works very well. You can add your own words, and have perfectt spelling. Its an excelent phone. I've had it for two years. Its never really given me problems :)

no but it looks fun... I heard something about multi-touch? that would make games better on pure touch screens. I like the d-pad on touch thouch. wife just got htc snap, its pretty cool. I like the full qwerty and winmo flex

Shittiest phone of all time. The phone constantly freezes all the time. When the call comes in, it freezes and I have to take the battery out. The text does not work. I already did the upgrade and it made the phone worse. The battery life is abnormally bad. The camera is terrible. Never will buy anything from HTC ever again.

HTC Touch was good for the first 5 months then it started freezing, and now the screen doesnt' work. I had to reset to default and it didn't matter although I lost all my data, calendar, and contacts because it didn't back up on my computer. I don't recommend this to anyone expected to use it all the time.

eg:i can play music whille searching the web to coppy and paste text onto microsoft word and i can leave those open while i edit an image on a 3rd app for free i can also txt somebody if i need to while my phone is bluetoothing something and calling someone while going on a map application to look for somebody and posting something on my calander and viewing a picture i can do all this with no trouble

i used touch dual for almost 5 months. encounter problem after 2 months; the touch screen not working. and now even worst. cannot touch anymore. already performed the hard reset but cannot even enter the window since need to touch the screen to resetting it..will send to customer services.

check the htc forum and many people face the same problem

it's a good phone, seriously. I've added apps so that the menu and media player are that of an iphone. Its processor is faster than that of an iphone as well. you can add all this crap, such as sudoku, uno, battleships. Search around google and you get all these great apps.
