I used to think Palin was merely some kind of colorful, exotic parrot for the McCain campaign. As the McCain ship sinks I think we are beginning to see Palin break out of the shackles that those insane people who run the McCain campaign have put her in. Robo-calls? WTF? I have been saying on many of your topics that the error made with her is that they tried to force her into looking like a normal VP pick.

From the start I have always believed that there were only two real ways for McCain/Palin to with this election.

If Palin became the center of this election (For a while she was remember) and stayed there it would make the race become Battle of the sexes

You're forgetting something very important.

At the end of Obama's FIRST term, Biden will be 69. I don't see him trying out for VP again. At the end of Obama's SECOND term, Hillary will be 69 (turns 61 on Oct 26). I don't see her running at all.

It's going to take some time for a true successor to come into fruition. Most likely it will be Obama's 2nd term VP, because by then Obama will have built his name and built this country up enough in order to hand pick whoever will follow him.
