Sorry I cant help you on that one, but give your local Army recruiting office a ring or ring Harrogate college they will be more than willing to help you.
Well Harrogate was the start, it was a long and demanding journey but the young man in question is now a fully fledged paratrooper serving with his Battalion, and we are so proud of him. Every man an Emperor.
I can only assume that it has something to do with the Burma campaign, most company`s in the British Army are named after famous battles or campaigns or individuals.
To true mate, thats why our boys are doing all the front line fighting in Afghanistan and the rest of the E.U are sitting on their backsides out there fetching and carrying, apart from the Dutch and Belgians the rest are not worth a hoot.
Yes things heve changed but I went through the old system many years ago, but having seen my son just go through the AFC this way is so much better, if they are not suited for the Reginent they joined for, they can swap Regiments.
I was totally impressed by the set up they there.
IS it hard to get into the army foundation college.. Does anything help to get into it.. eg.. army cadets.. any GCSE's,, urmm.. any clubss ? ? , i am 14 and hope to join in two years (: thankyou
Feel proud to see brave young men like them knowing that there fighting for our country

Hi, well my son went straight into Harrogat on leaving school, go to your Army Careers centre the earlier you apply the easier it is.
It depends on what you want to do in the army as they only have so many places at Harrogate.
But the course at Harrogate is demanding and takes a lot of willpower, but the instructors are the best the Army has to offer and they are 1st class.
Different Regiments require different qualifications from school leavers.
Check out the AFC Harrogate website.

HAHAHA i was in the first intake ever 4 platoon waterloo company 1998.
We had it hard as hell no new building old pattern 98 combat's and webbing.
Place look's like a holiday camp these day's.
Still bet it's still a good character building place in the best sense hahahaha.
Good luck !

Well, I can beat that, I joined back in 1967 and you think you had it rough ,,,
But the AFC is a fantastic place for young soldiers to start their career.
I would reddomend it to anyone ...
Thanks for your post
