I visted Halifax, Nova Scotia on the 84th anneversary of the sinking shortly after the movie opened. There is a cemetary there with graves of 150 of the victims as halifax was the closest port to salvage.  the real Jack Dawson is buried there. It was much like going to the Gettysburg Battlefield. You could feel it. There was signs left on some of the graves by decendants wishing visitors welcome, but please remeber these were real people deservant of real peace.

MY GREAT, Grandma was named Miss Ruth Taussig and was one of the survivors . She was 18 years old at the time. My grandma name is Alice and she is still alive and tell us the story about her mother when she was on the Titanic boat, and how her mother was only 18 years old, and survived and was able to tell us that story. How sad my great grandmother feel for those people, and how no body else would go back to save those people. It was a cold and sad night for my Great Grandma peace be with you
