  • that was great and your funny

  • Web of Fear (all of it)

Fury from the Deep (all of it)

Kinda (The dark places of the inside....)

  • lol the cybermen are in cloth suits

  • "and you cant kill a stone" NOT IN MINECRAFT!!! PICKAXE TIME BITCHES!

  • SHUT UP MARY WERE WATCHING THE VIDEO

  • oh yes the flood from the water of mars i got really creeped out when he got lost

  • i think the ogri from the stones of blood are very creepy! The Deadley assasin is my 2nd fave story ever so i find that world very scary!

  • If an alien in Doctor Who has scared me, it's The Doctor. He looks upon death and destruction with a grin, he managed to take out the European Prime Minister with four words, he has defeated Daleks, Cybermen, other Time Lords, and many more. To be honest, The Doctor scares the crap out of me.

  • The werewolf episode was really, really scary too

  • i do not agree with this film. i think that the empty child episode was the scariest of all as i couldn't sleep for days after it. The second scariest is definitely the warewolf episode with david tennant.

  • @someone1760 You've only watched Nu-hu, you can't just ignore the first 26 years of the show & have an opinion on what was the scariest moment.

  • @LegoDaleks It's a subjective medium. This isn't science where you need every available piece of data to construct a valid argument. You can't apply scientific principles to the arts. Have you listened to every piece of music, no? But you'd still pick a favourite song. I don't like it when people are negative towards the classic series with no good reason, but that's not really what has happened here.... Enjoy Doctor Who, don't apply logic to a subjective medium.

  • @MrBobbobthegreat Ur song analogy needs amending. E.g group called:'Self-Deception' makes 32 Albums & some1 made a list of 'The Top Best Songs of Self-Deception', but only ever listened to 6 of their Albums, then that would be totally invalid, especially since Nuvians never specify that they only considered Nu-hu. They make absolute statements. It's not about listening to every piece of music, just every song by the band if you are going to claim that certain songs are the best of THAT BAND

  • all of these weren't that bad (for me) but let me tell you the silence made me shake. Yes I had nightmares, they were way too scary in my opinion, but heck it's Dr.Who I'll keep watching

  • the weeping angels are the scariest.. but not until the later 2parter in season 5. with the reveal that the image of angel is itself an angel... to explain this. while its on ur tv screen. the one on ur screen is one. dont blink dont take ur eyes off it. it can come out of the picture. oh and if u look into the eyes of a weeping angel. it imprints its image in ur mind. so it kills u from inside if u dont keep ur eyes shut. sooo then the original statue kills u........ mind fucked

  • cybermen came in 2011

  • Um Angels. definitely angels. Thanks for the list!

  • ... Are we forgetting something? The Satan of all religions from The Impossible Planet is one of the freakiest things I've ever seen.

  • Where were the vashta Nerada? They put the shits up me.

  • @LucianaShadow how do they put the shits up you O-o surley you'd crap your pants not uncrap your pants ?!?

  • DOCTOR! DOCTOR! 'EX-TER-MIN-ATE!!!

  • Oh for me it has to be Sutekhs first appearence in "the prymids of mars" when he comes out of the transe when the eye is broken, and for the first time we see his fearsome devil dog like head supperimopsed over the head of Marcus Scarman What makes it frightening is you dont expect it, as a 6 year old back in 1975 it was the only time I shut my eyes on watching Doctor Who and no wonder "Pyramids of Mars" is rated buy fans as one of Tom's best episodes..

  • If I made a list, 1 - 10 would all be the Weeping Angels.

  • okay i dont get scared by doctor who, but i love watching it anyway. if i had to pick a scariest monster it would be the weeping angels cuz they're the only monster that ever made me jump

  • night terrors when i saw the dolls in thats i litalry flipped and hid behind the sofa and refused to come out and im glad my freind aggred with me she got nightmare just by wacthing the trailer for it , let alone the episode

  • the clowns are CREEPY i tell you.

    me no like water.

    creepy master zombie

    creepy human dalik

    don't blink

    what up with the frankinbeast?

gabrial chace is THE scearyest episode after silence in the libery/ forests of the dead. i had nightmares fom them.

  • Definitely the Zygon grabbing Sarah; It made me jump!

  • if weeping angels cant die then there is olny one thing left tatical nuke the whole earth

  • The empty child. Sorry if you don't agree, but that one creeped me OUT.

  • the water is acuccluly called the flood

  • you should've put the krynoids from the seeds of doom in it

  • Anyone else notice that the less the cybermen talk the more frightening they seem?

  • very good,funny video

  • I would love to say the Shadow in the Library too, step into the shadow and it eats your skin away

  • The gas mask people in the empty child and the entire episode of the impossible planet were probably the scariest for me.

  • That weeping angel episode really scares me!

  • WHERES THE EMPTY CHILD XD

yes cool70sfreak, i completely agree with you, the empty child was one of the scariest things i've ever seen >.<

  • Sorry, but I can't completely agree with this list. There is a very apparent lack of "ARE YOU MY MUMMY?" for starters :P

  • I'd put the weeping angels to number 1! :s

  • @antaloliver Same here.

  • @antaloliver That's only because you haven't seen the majority of DW! :s

  • I made the mistake of watching the first "Weeping Angels" episode right before bed. Yikes!!

  • You've got all the Doctor action figures! Cool

  • Wheres the silence in the library one with the flesh eating shadow phiranahs? hm

  • 6:43... he looks like a cross between obama and arnold schwarzenegger

  • you're really fucking annoying

  • I'd say the weeping angels were one of the scariest but I think the one that freaked me out the most would have been the empty child when the doctor of the hospital changed into one of them... yep couldn't sleep for weeks...

  • The weeping angels part is definitely scary. It scared the shit out of me to the point i had the same nightmare (the part where the girl leaves the guy to watch the statue and the statue gets really close) five times in one night. Now I freak out at EVERY statue I see o.O

  • ...great job....Revelation of the Daleks was a very Dark episode, one of the darkest, where Davros feeds dead people to living people to make money....the whole episode was scary....

  • what was the episode with the zombie things. might have to download that!

  • Two more: the spirit of Aggedor from the Third Doctor, "The Curse of Peladon", and The Silence from the Eleventh Doctor's "The Impossible Astronaut"/"Day of the Moon".

  • For me the scariest moment in Dr Who occurred in the final episode of Inferno, where the chap in the white coat who had been infected by the slime confronts Jon Pertwee on top of the gasometer. Also the Spearhead from Space autons provide some very chilling moments, as do the eponymous Robots of Death.

  • John Simm, best master ever.

  • Not my exact match, but you made it interesting enough, that i watched all 13 minutes. Good skills, and the cheesy sight gags..not too over the top!

  • For me, the top 1 is Midnight, where the monsters are the human beings.

    (Followed by Blink).

  • @aureusyarara Midnight, and Night Terrors are episodes that do not carry as much weight to them if you have seen a classic Science Fiction show called The Twilight Zone (the original series, not the remakes). This is because there are two episodes of The Twilight Zone that essentially follow the same plot as the previously mentioned Doctor Who episodes, these two Twilight Zone episodes are "Monsters are Due on Maple St." and "It's A Good Life", respectively.

  • @Popcultureguy3000 That is the single best reason anyone has given me to watch Twilight Zone.

I HAVE to watch it now. Thanks for the awesome rec.

  • lol XD *the creation of the cyber men*

    *knock knock*

    "come in"

"uh... sir? we have a problem"

    "ugh what now?"

"well..... we forgot to give them eyes?"

"what?! you idiot!... oh just...... use a felt tip marker! they wont notice"

"O.o... riiiiiight we'll just.... yeah" XD

  • FUCK YOU. CLOWN. DIE. ;n;

  • i LOVE the weeping angles! they are my FAVORITE monsters in the Doctor who!

  • I have many words for this. Most are to do with 'epic'. However, I was put off by Mary Whitehouse.

  • The only episode I've actually seen is 'Runaway Bride,' but from what I can tell, I think the Weeping Angels would be the scariest to me.

  • what about the empty child

  • @Mega1234joe

I thought the episode where it was the 2012 Olympics and what that girl drew became real, seeing her shadow behind the curtains was really scary...

  • @ChernovFan100 oh you mean fear her

  • borg are a rip off of the cybermen

  • Woah! This guy sounds exactly like Frezned O_o

  • I would've included Ghostlight. That's just... Brrr.

  • cool

  • pretty much anything created by Stephen Moffat is high up in the list for me......Vasta Nerada..........The Empty Child.....The Silence...Weeping Angels.....Brrrrrrrrr :/

  • 7:03 Mummy... im scared

  • 2:20 thus the beginning of autotune came into being...

  • The water on mars one freaked me out. Almost as much as the weeping angels. That one was cause for shoulder checking... During commercials seeing as blinking's a bad idea.

  • sarah jane is afraid of clowns too

  • 2:40 i was thinking the exact same thing. i laughed so hard

  • Hello i don't think the wirrin are that scary so i think you should replace it with The Lazarus creature from the Martha series and i think you should move the clowns up to about 4, 3 or 2

  • I'm surprised you didn't put in that scene from The Empty Child where Dr. Constantine grew a gasmask on his face. That scared the shit outta me when I saw it. I was 10 at the time.

  • Giant sentient spider on my back? (faint)

  • the cibermen looks funny

  • Great choices! Though I've never really liked Waters of Mars or Revelations of the Daleks, and I never liked Peri enough to be scared when she got lobotomized =P The Seeds Of Doom (Tom Baker episode) always scared me with the murderous plants, and especially when the Doctor was in danger of being turned into compost...And then of course Stones of Blood, State Of Decay...I could go on =P

  • really good

new series almost Humans is scary as well

  • the old cybermen are strange

  • The empty child

  • are you australian because i am check out my channle i make doctor who fan fiction

  • My scariest moment is the silence so freaky but I guess the most is when Amy met him in the bathroom why?

    my name is joy.

  • I must say the cyberman have changed over time make that alot

  • the first one she showed ive seen it me personally dont think it is scary at all!!!

  • number 2 is VERY scary! but nr 1 what a hell?? thats not scary at all!

  • Where are the flesh eating shadows?

  • From all the films i have watched the weeping angels are the most scariest creatures i have ever seen yet I feel bad for them because they are lonley, so i'd want to hug one

  • 11:40 omg that.'s creepy O.o

  • scariest monsters (to me) in no particular order (because they scare the crackers out of me :C) empty child, the silence, water of mars, the red-eyed Oog, Blink, and pretty much all monsters in matt smith's Doc who so far, and coming up D:

  • I like that you made this list from most Doctors and era's. Good list, although my no1 (as a kid) would be the ending in the Seeds Of Doom when the Doctor faces up with a sword to the Krynoid just after it killed the MP. Had nightmares for ages then, but it was amusing to watch again recently and see what scared the bejeeses out of me once.

Also are you single? I have a lesbian friend thats into sci-fi and might dig you.

  • I'm I the only person alive who's NOT afraid of Blink. It's a great episode and I enjoyed it, but Angels, while creative and interesting, I just did not find scary. I guess it's cause they never actually killed anyone, just sent them back in time. :/

on the other hand I thought the Zombies in "The Unquiet Dead" to be the scariest scenes I've ever seen in Doctor Who. I guess to each their own though.

  • Waters of Mars sucks ass!

  • SCREW MARY WHITEHOUSE!

  • god the cybermen were made of paper-plates a sharpie pens back then.

  • Great vid! I always found anything where creatures were walking towards the camera had me scared-in particular I remember the episode whre Scaroth pulls off his human mask to reveal his one eye-worm covered head in 'City Of Death.' Even the screaching end music was unnerving as a kid!

  • I'm 19 and I've only seen clips of blink on youtube.. somehow I missed that episode when it was on tv, but just the clip when they're on the computer and realise they're not looking at the angel made my heart race.

The 'enemy' that scared me the most is the gas mask wearing kid in The Empty Child. With his creepy voice, his manipulation of the speakers and the fact that you just couldn't see his face! I was 13 at the time, and I had to sleep in my sister's room for a week until the next episode

  • ahhh noooo its up to the weeping angels and it keeps stopping to load.... i dont know if youve purposely edited it to scare us... and i dont trust you because of the clown bit... i didnt jump because that wasnt scary (No offence) but the weeping angels are a whole different thing

  • Im 15 and Blink still Scares the crap out of me after they realise they stopped looking at that angel... from that moment on i just can't watch proporly... does anyone else shiver when they see that exact picture?

  • OMG what about the beast from the satan pit. Or is that just me?

  • the top 2 scary ones is when the shadow pirannas and the space library

number 1 was the new one just got out yesterday ummmmmm it had uhhhh

a disturbing one when this guy was messing with amy's mind and first it was hours

then 40/60 years - they were torturing him each night and then they got locked away the last time and on the wall it said IN BLOOD "KILL AMY"

he was mummyfied i felt bad until i saw he was messing with they're heads i didn't fall asleep to good but here i am :D

  • The entirety of The impossible Planet and the Satan Pit. Mostly because of the atmosphere rather then the monsters

  • Are you my mummy?

  • Don't agree with all your calls, but excellent commentary.

  • 7:03 i think i just pissed my pants.

  • @MrCommentary100 Haha. Sorry about that :s

  • @markiduval for number 1, even by today's doctor who standards thats a bit to far

  • @MrCommentary100 So did I. I need to change.

  • @MrCommentary100 OH god now i'm afraid to watch this SHIT SHIT SHIT

  • 5:14 is that a lazer gun or ur penis

  • Ok, it's claurophobia and where's fury from the deep?

  • @MrBenram Due to part of it being lost and me not being alive in 1968, I figured I should only comment on stories that I have seen.

But you're right. From what I have seen of Fury From the Deep, it's pretty creeptastic. I wish the rest of it was found.

  • When I was a kid (about 5-6) one moment that scare the hell out of me was in the android invasion, when in the end of one episode Sarah fell and is revealed as a robot. Probably was effective as a kid.

Nowadays, blink is my top scariest moment and story.

  • @trantor23 Oh wow, yes! That moment where android Sarah's face falls off creeped me out as a kid too. *shudders*

  • @markiduval My scariest moment as a child was the first time I saw the autons, the spearhead from space mainly due to manequins in the time looking horrific, I was scared for quite a while :)

  • I loved it :) Great job :) Doctor who ftw!

  • @DivineAwe Thanks :)

  • Gas mask zombies are pretty creepy in The empty child/The doctor dances. ALSO i know its just me but the clockwork robots in The girl in the fireplace just the hiding of there faces and the evil smile as they do all this.

  • The vashta nerada in silence in the library/forest of the dead

    Creepy!

  • @TimeVortexOverload HEY WHO TURNED OUT THE LIGHTS sorry couldn't resist

  • I've always wondered what that video is of the man screaming, then his face peeling apart. I know it's in a McCoy story, just not which one. Could anyone help?

  • @Flynn4Red Yep, that's the story Dragonfire. The character Kane melts :)

  • @Flynn4Red

Probably the bit where Kane disintegrates at the end of Dragonfire, not actually a bad story to say it contains the worst (and most literal) cliffhanger ever.

  • @Flynn4Red sounds like Kane dieing from dragonfire

  • @Flynn4Red It's called Dragonfire

  • Really good list, there's a good variety of scary moments! :) Blink did scare me a lot, i'll forever be cautious of statues now!

  • @laurajones240 Thanks :) Yep, watch out! :D

  • i lterally just watched number 2 just before i watched this :L

  • Original Cybermen = 10x more scary.

  • @yackemflamber I agree. They looked more like creepy cyborgs and less like robots.

  • @markiduval Also, how could you keep "The Empty Child" out of this list? D:

  • @yackemflamber Are you my mummy?

  • the vachdenarada freaked me out the most. i hate the dark

  • @clubpenguinxd Yeah I think if I watched that as a kid I'd have been scared of the dark.

  • The antimatter thing was scary. Loved Dr Who as a kid, but hated the cliff hangers.

  • @jeriellsworth I was terrified of the antimatter monster. I mean, what if it was real!!? IT COULD HAVE BEEN!!!! (or so I thought)

Heh, lucky for you then there's few cliff hangers in the latest seasons of Dr Who then :)

  • A fine article, well put together and really well edited. And, yes, you may have the Top 10 right.

  • @sitcomtrials Thanks :)
