This isn't the actual T2 theme (not the one on my T2 Soundtrack or T2 Extended Soundtrack CD anyway). Is this some muzak version so you don't have to worry about it being pulled from YouTube?

I agree this is a phenomenal sci fi film theme. I just played Theme From 'The Terminator' & Main Title (T2 Theme) back-to-back. Each brings something unique. IMO T1 has more of a haunting quality to it, while T2 is bolder & is a technically superior recording. Looking forward to hearing picks 2-5.

@KelanDWood T2 will always be my favorite movie of the franchise... not just because of the theme either. I love the dark story and unnerving undertones.

@StakeJade the story has the right amount of stuff going on. There's more stuff going on then in most movies to make it intriguing but not enough to make it convoluted. The action scenes are thrilling and well choreographed and the special effects are so amazing that you could put the film on mute and be entertained. But my favorite thing has to be the character development and the powerful emotions. I never knew Arnold could be such a great dramatic actor. On top of that it's funny as hell

I can see the movies being a bit dated, but the first and second movies are absolute CLASSICS. I grew up on these movies, and my kids will see them too. Especially Judgment Day. This movie is AMAZING. I don't consider 3 to even exist (seriously, Sarah Conner is done in by leukemia? she couldn't even die COOL?) but I did enjoy "Salvation."

The fact that you failed to put the Imperial March in your list is a complete oversight and should be corrected. The Imperial March is key to making Vader's character without it he would not be as intimidating. The same could be said for Jaws that music helps make that Shark.

This movie was way ahead of it's time, both in the music and how it could take a completely manly movie like this and turn me into putty at the ending.

The original version of this theme was better in my opinion. It had a futuristic feel that was typical of the eighties and it worked perfectly. This version is excellent too, but I must prefer the original :)

Terminator 2 was the LAST great sci-fi in my opinion. And guess what... T2 was released in 1991. It was the first action film of the '90s... and possibly the best action film of the '90s.

Terminator was a great horror movie. T2 was a great hero movie. T3 was painful. The series was teeth-grittingly painful.

Haven't seen 4 yet, but reports indicate it's OK but not great.

StakeJade hit the nail on the head here Terminator had the best theme period. it was also one of the best sci fi movies ever and the new tv show the sarah conor chronicles is amazing and t4 will be great considering t3 was a letdown

The terminator franchise is way too dated; it was a hit in the 80's because of its cold war undertones, how the combined computer systems of Russia and the U.S. would become self aware and, basically, turn on both powers. Oh wait no it was SKYNET, I forgot! Frankly...... I'm glad THIS dog was put to sleep.
