You should read in Google un-mal-diseño-ingenieril it is very very important for the life of the firemen and of people that work in very high buildings.
On another note, the ad means that thousands of batteries (which BTW should be recycled) will be disposed just about anywhere. Very thoughtful Volkswagen!
It startled many people. The paper gloated over this innovation in today's edition. I did not appreciate this. In these days of terror, I think these sort of things can give people ideas about potential abuse. It has also caused electronic pollution. Shame on Times Of India and Volkswagen for showing such low concern for electronic waste as an environmental hazard. Will they bother to collect all the devices they distributed and dispose them off properly? Any innovation here? Not likely.
@avidreader100 Haha. You must have to have a serious nervous disorder to think terrorism would come in the form of a newspaper. It says more about your state of mind than the ad if this startled you to be honest.
Just dissected TOI Volkswagen Ad. Its having Photoresistor as Transducer whose resistance is inversely proportional to light intensity. So when that page on paper is not opened its not getting any light. When u do open that ad it gets light, change in resistance is fed to IC to get audible advertisement. IC technology now has become no cheap that they could afford this.
interesting... physical multimedia.

How wasteful. Sure it's novel, but it's useless.

What if everyone's newspapers start talking. You will have to ban newspapers in buses and other public places!
