yeah thats what i said in just a few words, lol....if the subs are hitting in the same direction at the same time then they are in phase...if one hits forward and the other hits backwards then they are 180 degrees out of phase...a simple fix for that is to reverse the polarity of the sub...(positive becomes negative and negative becomes positive)

opinion fail, lmao the one thats inverted is going to resist damage better then the "normal" one cause think about it the "normal" one has the entire face of the sub exposed anything that gets close to it has a very good chance of putting a hole in the cone or surround...but the inverted one for anything to really hurt it it would have to poke through the basket of the sub which gives less opportunity for something to bump up against it...lol

Oh wait, forgive me, I didn't notice this is a single chamber setup. If you want lower sound response, reverse mount both of them, inscrease air space for both subs. Also, I hope there's more than two ports on top of that box. That looks like a tiny 3" port, you're probably getting lots of port noise.

For everyone's information, the subs are phased correctly, one at 0 degrees and the other at 180 degrees. The only thing I'm not fond of with pointing one sub magnet out and the other cone out is the reverse mounted sub is running with more space in the box. This setup is ported and since the mass of the entire motor structure and frame assembly isn't in the chamber of the reversed side, it's tuned a little lower and behaves slightly different from the other.

what don't people understand? pioneer is a good brand and a lot better than most of the subwoofers/speakers in the price range. They have low end subs which every brand does but also have very nice entry level and also bang for the buck SPL woofers like these and the models over these. Sounds nice, this is a sealed box huh, ever tried them out in a ported? Nice setup..bet its loud. The only downside of these is the low sensitivity for the price.

big mistake unless you phased you subs so one pulls in and the other pushes out cause if u have it were both push out on a big bass note you loose 50% of the bass that way you have your sub set up in that box unless it has a divider in it.cause one sub pushes out and the other pushes in so all the air that the one sub diplaces is sucked up by the other one not letting as much air outta the port

i see what you are saying..but when using speakers like this (one in one out)..each speaker should be wired differently (out of phase) so both will be pushing and pulling at the same time. METHOD: Wire the + & - of one sub to the + & - of the amp AND THEN on the other sub (inside out one) wire the + of the sub to - of amp AND - of sub to the + of amp. JOB DONE!

nice dude! i have an total kenwood car :p my sub is the KFC-XW1300DVC 40lb beast with an 10.9oz mag XD.the only gay this is its a 13" so i have to get a custom box made :(. and its 3+3ohm but the pros FAR outweigh the cons, it is an AWESOME sub.. its no FI BTL but hell for 200$ brand new, (retail is 900) cant be beat (no pun intended)
