  • do a double neck sg

  • Plz make a Gibson Explorer like Hetfield's

  • I love the sticker that read... genuine cardboard... LMAO! They look pretty darn good.

  • @aorphia Thank you, aorphia. People don't always take my word for it.

  • Hey i will be willing to pay $45 for a replica of Matt Bellamy's red Manson glitterati.

  • Will this thing actually play?

  • @bhyeeraw0w That's the one thing it can't do (okay, maybe there's a couple things it can't do), but it looks good, don't it?

  • @DareToDream01 Well, that's why I asked if we could play it, because it looked damn good.

  • @bhyeeraw0w You've got good taste, my friend.

  • im making cardboard beatles guitars the gretsch ricken backer but not the hofner

you shoud make a gretsch duo jet

  • dis video is awsome!:D

  • this is awesome you have inspired me to make a carboared flying v all your guitars are awesome

  • 1st off,the explorer was originally gibson, like the fling V. I think it'd be far out to build a Dean ML like dime-bag Darell's' of Pantera. Or maybe a BC rich like those played by Lita Ford. But ya can't go wrong with a 24 fret Gibson SG like Toni Iommi!

  • You Shuld Do A Les Paul it wuld look sick or a angus young sg

  • make a triple neck guitar!

  • @JayDawg211 I've got to finish this double neck first!

  • i think it would of looked cool if he left it white

  • i reckon just a regular guitair it wood be awesome with ur collection!

  • do a kent lawrence explorer like james hetfield one

  • awsome

  • fender tele caster

  • ACOUSTIC!!!

  • Do u use real pickups, strings, and wood fretboard?

  • Unfortunately, I haven't put anything into it that would actually produce sound. I think I would definitely need a wood fretboard to support the tension that tuned steel strings would produce.

Call me superficial, but my guitars have been all about looks thus far.

  • EXPLORER!!!! lol. LES PAUL!!!! lol. SG!!!! lol. TELE!!!! lol. Hollow body? Acoustic would be a challange.

  • plzz do a video about how u do it...

    LOVE IT MAN!!!!

  • you should run some fishing line or something for strings

  • rofl!

    do a fucking dean ml

or if you wanna be real cool do a bc rich beast v

    rofl

  • haha. you should put strings on it.

  • SO COOL !!!

    GOOD GAME !!!

  • cooL

  • you should make a ESP LTD F-250 customized to be a 7-string with cardboard 7 string floyd rose and 7 tuners

    that would be awesome

  • Double neck guitar or a solid guitar made with layers of cardboard

  • make a double cut les paul jr

  • that is really sweet man! love the flames

  • you should make a jag-stang or a les paul

  • u should put real hardware and other stuff in it and put strings on it and see if u can get it to look and sound like a reall guitar, (if u can)

  • have you ever thought of refinishing real instruments

    youd be good at it

  • The whammy is the only "real" guitar part you see in this video. Call it cheating if you will, but whammy bars/ trem arms are cheap, and I couldn't think of a good piece of junk around the house that I could make look like the part, so... there ya go.

  • how did u make the whammy?

  • u shood make a jackson rr3, or an alexi-600

  • do they even work like a real electric guitar

  • nope

  • mine does :) but his look way better than mine

  • i wanted to make a real flying v BASS but my mother kept telling me no

  • make a les paul

  • wow alot better than me but heres a thought fishing line is a great guitar string (for look)

  • Great idea. I was also considering something elastic, which would look tight with less tension on the cardboard.

  • INCREDIBLE finished product. i laughed until i cried. great stuff!

i make and play cardboard instruments. usually, i use a 1x2 for the neck, with a "thru-body" design, so my instruments are really more like cardboard dulcimers, but they're played like guitars. i've found that cardboard allows me to make fun shapes and lets me really be creative... but YOU'VE really taken the cake!!!

    +1 +1 +1 !!!!!!!!!!

  • wow! Do you use steel guitar strings? Does the cardboard really hold up to the tension on the strings? Or do you reinforce them with wood or something?

  • i'll youtube something i've built soon, and you'll see what i mean. but yes, i use regular steel guitar strings and make my own acoustic pickups from piezo elements i rip out of toys. i can make just about any hollow object in to a playable instrument by using the "dulcimer" method. you'll see. it's great!

  • That's awesome. Out of curiosity, what kind of "toys" contain piezo elements that you can make pickups from? Very clever!

  • @DareToDream01 the piezo out of a smoke alarm or old children's talking books or old greeting cards that you can record a message on. Actually, the greeting card thing might allow you to output sound as well as input (pickup). Try some toothpick frets! And fishing line stretched tight enough will make sound (...like nylon strings) good luck, hope this helped. Let me know how things turn out!

  • @11harrison11 Thanks. Those are great ideas! Have you made any guitars yourself?

  • @DareToDream01 Sorry I didn't get back with you, family issues have taken precedence over everything else. To answer your question, yes, I build custom guitars and specialize in inlay work. But I love all forms of creativity and innovation! I was impressed with your sense of both and want you to succeed in your endeavors. Plus I just get a kick out of making things work when others say; "you can't do that"! So keep doin your thing, don't let others discourage you, and if I can help just sayso

  • @11harrison11 Thanks for the encouragement! I obvioiusly get a kick out of it too.

  • Hahahaha that's win! have you considered getting a pile of that thick, dense white cardboard, tight-bonding it all together to make a real one. I mean just the body not the neck. There's your #4. BC Rich did with plywood, it couldn't be much worse.

Very professional work... wish I had one that looked like my axe so I could smash it after a gig :) Nah there too nice.

  • Smashing cardboard guitars isn't as exciting as ya might think. You need something brittle that can SHATTER! like glass or hard plastic, maybe ceramic! that would be impressive. Thanks for the comment

  • that¨s fake, thats real guitars

  • Thanks for the compliment

You did watch the whole video, right?

  • i perfer electrical tape xD

  • Hey ya know, whatever sticks!

Nice background on your site, btw.

  • wow cool but im getting a real flying v

  • okay, you win.

  • okok, wen i saw this video,i almost instantly started making up ideas for building my own cardboard guitar,´but since im getting a flying v and building a real explorer, i decided not to build a cardboard one

  • Hey can you sell it on ebay?Intrested

  • if you can do that with cardboard you should consider making real guitars.

  • dude do you sell this on ebay or what?Sell it overseas?I wanna buy it

  • I'm thinkin a cool ass double neck les paul with a 12 string and a 6 string would be awesome!

  • How about a combo bass and 6 string (double neck)? I'm lookin into it!

  • The best cardboard guitarist ever! I'll send ya my next refrigerator box for my order!
