Many times their facial expressions look eerie because of the lighting (often just flashlights or candles) and because they are focused on what they see and hear. That is an oversimplification. The Church has not condemned it and they have not confirmed it. It can't be confirmed until the predictions come to pass. Garabandal has been repeatedly condemned as false by the bishops in that section of Spain and those condemnations were upheld twice by the Vatican. None of the predictions from Garabandal happened when they were predicted and if you look at the contortions that happened to the seers during the apparitions, they look like the kind of things that happened in The Exorcist. I should have been more clear and apologize. Apparitions are decided as "worthy of belief" or "false" by the local bishops - not the Vatican. Garabandal was condemned by the Bishop of Santander in 1965 and five subsequent bishops have upheld the condemnation. In fact, Bishop Jose Vilaplana reaffirmed the condemnation in 1996. Two of these condemnations were upheld by Rome.

Yes, St Patrick's Catherdral is very beautiful. I went to Mass there for the first time last month. It was so beautiful. I have been there before but this was the first time I had been to Mass at St Patricks Cathedral. I went with my sister Peggy and my neice Maria.God bless you.
