  • brilliant country singer thumbs up .Noel

  • I had 7 albums by Norma back in the day.

  • buck trent was a genius on the plugged in banjo too

  • She had the best voice in Nashville.

  • country just ain'y country anymore thank god for recordings , Norma was great

  • I love this song and Norma Jean, I find myself singing this many times just riding down the road.

  • Pretty edgy stuff back then...bet there were more than few radio stations that would not play this. Seems pretty tame now, LOL.

  • @reddiaperbaby "Very Tame" indeed? I keep getting a Pop-Up ad for something called a "Nicki Minaj"? Watched it once. It was awful, zero class whatsoever, plus I wondered if "she" were a "he"?

  • A wonderful song! Greetings from Germany! Dieter

  • No one sings country music like this talented lady, I miss the country swing of the 60's, that was true country music. Norma made it seem easy to record hit after hit.

  • Great song, great singer, and I believe that is the legendary Pete Drake on steel guitar.

  • she brings back alot of good memories.with that song

  • When I was a kid and she came on the Porter Wagoner show, I feel in love with her. I listened to her music my entire life. In 1972, when my first daughter was born, I named her Norma Jean. To me, she was the best country singer years ago and now. I wish they would bring back the music she song back then. Country music today is like rock and roll to me.

  • Good old Norma - what a wonderful country music voice - I love it !!

OMG - I'm old now - but I love her still - and all her songs - thank you, Norma !

  • She is pretty and right down to the core of the natural ways.Jack

  • I stil love her singing now ,just like inthesixty

  • Norma Jean is absolutely great. The Porter Wagoner Show is being shown on the RFD Network these days. All of the shows, from the 60's through 1981 are great, but my favorites are the early shows with Norma Jean. She was a great singer who definitely earned the sobriquet Pretty Miss Norma Jean.

  • thanks for the post i had forgot about this great singer!!!!!!

  • Every few weeks I just come back and listen to this song a few times. It says so much. The combination of Pretty Miss Norma Jean's vocals and Buck Trent playing inthe background must be what the background music in heaven is like.

  • Folks--remember -for those of us who are old enough-that some radio stations wouldn't play "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow" by The Shirelles..? Their wording is much more suggestive than Norma's...!

  • Love this song, love it and what a voice...

  • One of my favorites by this fantastic lady!! She's a sweetheart and the real deal. If you get to Branson, go by and visit with her and Al at their Sunday Morning service.

  • What a beautiful song.

  • My former post should been '57 Pontiac

  • Brings back sweet memories. When I was dating my first wife she played this for me on the juke box at our favorite hangout, and later that night we did in the seat of my '67 Pontiac. Wish I still had that car..

  • LOL - it's funny that you wished you still had the car, but not the first wife!!!

  • Today's "country & western" is neither country nor western.

  • Did they really get away with playing this on country radio 45 years ago?

  • Do you just cruise Videos looking for something to complain about?.If you don't like this BUZZ off NO one made you listen, besides you made this comment on the live version.I guess the fact that TV and Radio isn't suggestive anymore, they just right out and SAY IT. So in short if you don't like Norma Jean BYE BYE. Seems your profile is full of off color language

  • The song, "Let's go all the Way," doesn't mean THAT; it means to take the relationship all the way; to the altar, not just to the the back seat of a '67 Pontiac!

  • @daileyaidan

    "All the way" means THAT!

Seems the songwriters and recordmakers liked lyrics that could have both an explicit and an "innocent" interpretation. This is certainly one of those songs.

I looked this song up and saw that it made it only to Number 11 on the chart. I'll bet that the reason it didn't go top-5 or No. 1 was that the explicit meaning was a bit too obvious and conservative radio stations wouldn't play it.

  • A favorite of mine from NORMA JEAN a very nice song.

  • There will never be another.

  • She's just fantastic, and Buck Trent's electric banjo just blows me away.....one of his very best performances!

  • Too bad she didn't have more songs. I gave this song to my fiance before we got married. How romantic, huh? To me it was.

  • this song brings tears to my eyes every time i hear it.

  • if anyone has the song by norma jean CONSCIENCE KEEP AN EYE ON ME. i hope that they would post it. this was still another good song from norma.

  • just love this girls singing. puts such feelings into each and every song that she sings

  • I'm just replaying over and over again.
