I am greatly disturbed by the art style, Peter's beaty spot and two people past the age of 60 yet having no wrinkle's.

I hate this "Kim-Possible" type of drawing...pisses me the hell off. Good thing this was canceled. TAS lasted longer than this...MUCH longer.

@TheBoomViper I didn't like the art style at first either. But It grew on me. But you have to admit, the writing is pretty solid. I'd say other than the huge nostalgia factor, its better than the 94 series. Still love that to death too though!

I never questioned the writing. Although, to me, Spidey's dialogue wasn't as funny as TAS...

Although the spider-man cartoon from the 90's was the best, this is actually very good. I will actually go as far to say that I love it!

@liqwid74 The spider bite gave Peter the formula to make his webbing. Coupled with his near genius intelligence he was able to produce it AND build the delivery method/system. Yes his intellect is his biggest asset.

@Jedibron that's right, but luckily, Disney isn't interfering at all. Stan Lee himself said that just because disney owns marvels characters, it oesnt mean that they're going to do anything like stick mickey mouse ears on all the spidey villains

The web is supposed to further show how smart he is - being that young an able to produce a material that simulates the strength and flexibility of spider webbing would require a near genius intellect - Spider-mans biggest asset

I think The Spectacular Spider-Man is cool. The only thing I think they should improve is in letting him have real web just like in the movies, instead of him having to produce them himself.

That's not the only thing they are doing. I've noticed a few things that lead me to believe they are taking some of the best parts of different spider-man series and using them here such as the Eddie Brock/Peter Parker relationship before the symbiote appears. They got that from Ultimate Spider-Man.
