it's being filmed for Letterman. the crowd isnt allowed to freak out and stand up and flail around. they have to be as chill as possible for the STUDIO RECORDING. its a TV show not a concert. of course they wanted to fucking cut loose. im also sure they didnt wanna get kicked out either. would you rather watch the entire show or see half a song and spend the rest outside? that little group on the left in the front is jammin out as much as they can while trying to keep as calm as possible :o)
