  • SKID ROW - Little Shop Of Horrors - Search for that and look for JPS2005 ! Amazing vocals <3

  • Too many people singing at once...

  • Audrey and seymour were pretty good

  • The set in amazing but it's pretty sad that it's the only good thing on here. My high school was ten times better and our set wasn't near as cool.

  • FIRST of all, audrey is supposed to be blonde.

  • What happened to the powerful "Crystal" solo at the beginning?!

The whole song was kind of panicked, sorry. And the harmonies were not confident and ended up really flat.

  • Cecelia Nicholls as Audrey is AMAZING!

  • too focused on mushnik.

  • aww, I wish we could have backdrops, we are doing little shop, and we just have to build everything ourselves, I love it though, and we put up telephone polls in the back and stuff

  • we are doing this and im audrey. im jealous of your set :/ looks nice. HAH is that drop down from "guys and dolls" the "save a soul mission" thats funny

  • ummm...are you SURE this is a high school play??? The timing is so messed up. And the acting ain't that good either. Needs tons of work.

  • timing is a definite issue and leather jacket dude is upstaging everyone. ur not supposed to be higher than the focused characters the way he is w/ seymour and audrey, but pretty good for an amatuer production

  • theyre pretty good. just a bit out of time, id blame their musical director not them for that though.

  • lol when Seymour squeeks it just reminds me of John Travolta.

  • well...it wasn't THAT bad...keep in mind that this is just a high school.

  • @aznpiccplayer123 not to brag or anything, but our high school can do better than this. :/

  • it was good but they need to work on their harmonies.

  • jeez theyre so out of time :/

  • I think these kids do a great job here. To compare a slick Hollywood production, lip sync'd and shot scene by scene and performed and directed by people who have worked for years to this is a bit mean spirited.

  • is that orin in the background? his entrance should be a surprise for the dentist number.

  • Mr. Mushnik sounds like he's going through puberty.

  • is that a backdrop from Guys and Dolls? Save a Soul mission kinda rings a bell from that play

  • uh yeah, this kinda sucks...couldve been ALOT better, but who am i to say im not music director LOL but this does suck.

  • i agree with latchy. Omg the harmonies are awful. It isnt little shop of horrors the way rick and meryll portrayed not even near.

  • You Soooooo need a Musical Director, and the singing is atrocious nd so is the choreography. Could have casted better. watch the movie and then re-cast and put this production back on. not that id come back to see it again. Sorry if I've over-stepped. No problems on the technical side. there's is a few H&S errors though.

  • i like ''omeria68''s comment.....ALOT!!

  • i really dont think this is bad at all! it was alittle crowded onstage and the chorus made it hard to hear seymour and audrey but they werent bad singers at all and the chorus sounded good as well!

    dana

  • wow who cast the singers?

    x] they're not so great

  • aiiek....no offense, but where the hell was your music director at this time?

It was a good effort, though.

  • I can't say anything about the singing quality, but the costumes and set look way too bright for Skid Row.

And the dancing and staging is just all too hokey and too Music Man and Guys and Dolls-y.

The whole point of Little Shop is that it isn't your average musical.

The straight line part made me cringe.

  • Why reuse the Guys and Dolls drop?

Inside joke perhaps? Just as easy to paint over.

Looks like they blew the budget on the shop.

  • yea the singing is not too good :/ why arent there just the 3 dadoo girls? its too busy onstage. and the set is too pretty and colorful to be skid row! and same with the costumes! and audrey totally made up her "ripped you slips" part i know the notes those were wrong and seymore; whoever played him was too strong for this part! ugh sorry. not too good/
  • True the notes are a little different, but finding a powerful enough voice for a large theater and they cant expect their applicants to be like the movie :P

My schools doing it now and I can only hope I hit the notes at my audition :D Hoping for Audrey, they asked for a fairly high note vocal.

  • I agree that the stage is way too busy.

I think what ruins the singing is that the chorus does not have a good blend - there are some parts vocally that are too loud and others that can't be heard at all.

I like the screen that dropped down, though. That was cool.

  • this performance is pretty good I mean mii skool is doin this play nd im audry but um.. im this song I think ights a little slower but do I knno im on audry

  • i think they do a good job on this , i love thi sosng, from the show and movie , its a show stopper, i was in a community therte production of this, its one of my fave musicals

  • I think the singing and music are great. You have to allow for the recording quality of the camera.

  • But nice set though! I must say it was a good set. Our school is doing the play and so far we're doing a much better job, seeing as we don't sing too loud.

  • Yeah, no offense but this was terrible. Nice set, bad singing and even off-tune music. Only Mushnik is supposed to sing "Where the food is slop". Plus that girl in the beginning makes me CRINGE!!!!!!

  • what are you talking about? this is awsome!

  • holy merde, i totally agree...

it is so terribly off-tune, i guess there was like only 2 ppl in the cast who actually knew how to sing. aaahh, cringe!!

  • Question: was part of the set borrowed from Guys and Dolls? Haha. The "Save a Soul Mission" made me think that (:

Singing was bad though. Tighten the harmonies a bit, idividuals: try not to overpower each other, and then it would be better.

  • the set is broadway quality but mushnik is wong for this part... and the singing is horrible really listen to the beggining of Skid Row..sreaching!! "DON'T SING IT CHILD!!!"

  • haha, i love how the skid row set is part of the save-a-soul mission set from guys and dolls

props to whomever came up w/ the set, and a thumbs down to this cast's singing director

  • I like the fact that Audrey isn't a blonde every production I've seen or been in she's been blonde, it's a nice change.

  • my school did a slightly better job

  • yeah i thought it was terrible...sorry. ummm i think mushnik was HORID!

setlooks good though. kind of a waste yo use on this though...

now if you'll excuse me i have to go take some advil.

  • oh lawd...i can't, i just can't...going to find the original where there is some semblance of pitch...I hope none of these HS kids have any hopes of a career any more than as a possible role in the chorus/ensemble. What is sad, is that the set is the best part of this performance. So saddd....

  • They set is awesome!!!

  • bad

  • Set was Great !! but the singing : ( was horrid. it gave me a headache

  • set is beautiful.. audrey sounds nice.. but that last note of skid row was horrible

  • OMG my ears.....

....the set is nice but it doesn't match that singing...

  • Check out that set!

  • my school did this u have to watch a trailer of it this is a shit play

  • uh....love the song just not the acting. the directing was horrible you draw attention away from everyone its all a clutter.

  • Is this Laura Secord?

  • NICE SET!!

  • wow..the singing was horrible..and audrey was horrible she doesnt even look like audrey...if you really want to see a good show come to my school sometime...

  • I though Mr Mushnick was suposed to have a New York Yiddish accent.

  • oh the flashbacks.

  • Eek! The harmony for this song was terrible.

However....Your set makes up for it! Absolutely beautiful!!

  • Great set but the florist needs to be more dirty

  • btw, I love that you're using a Guys and Dolls backdrop...

  • Great set for a high school show!

  • hahaha i i just noticed the backdrop (i keep commenting before iw atch the whole thing hah) nice recycling. i bet anyone who doesnt know much about theatre didnt even notice!

  • lmao actually..the chorus needed work too

we did this play at our school and it was amazing

  • the set was amazing from a techies point of veiw =]

    but..mushnik needed some work

  • Anyone get the vibe that that Mushnik wasn't the right Mushnik?

Awesome set, but that's about it...

How come the whole chorus sang the whole song? Lol.

  • The Save A Soul Mission Set reminds me of Guys and Dolls! I love it!

  • the harmonies are really uneven and unblended. really good set and costumes though

  • Way to recycle backdrop! ;) Sky Masterson must stop by the flower shop every once in a while.

  • I love the choreography :)

  • either have less people for the chorus or tell them to sing in a lighter voice because they have made it too busy the main characters are good though

  • too much chorus :/

  • i loved the set!

    everything was really good.

the singing was ok, but it seemed like the wrong pitch or something.

maybe its just me because i know the entire song from the movie. lol.

actually i could sing and act all the parts of the movie thats how much i love it. :]hahaha

  • i liked the acting, but singing, not so much. when they gave everything to the chorus, they killed it. great set. i know that the directors have no idea who'll show up for auditions, but i think they have a general feel for the amount of talent they have, and i think they overestimated this group. but it was still a good performance, and worth seeing.

  • beautiful set.

I couldn't really hear Audrey towards the end, but other than that I thought this was superb. The beginning line "The alarm goes off at seven" or whatever was kinda flat, but she has a lot of courage to go up there and sing something as powerful as that. goooood job haha

im trying out for audrey in a week or so. :]

  • lolz i remember when i did this play in high school...ur choreography was much cooler than mine but chea u guyz jus need 2 work on the pitches and intonation...well only experienced musicians hear the lil mistakes but u guyz did really good and ur set was also really cool...

  • I love your set!

  • Ugh..what's with the line? I hate lines....

  • Uhhh. wrong backdrop guys. (n dolls...tehe)

  • dolls*

  • lol its a guys and doles drop.

  • your stage is great! i love the backdrop...I wished my high school had a big stage like that with backdrops going down :(...as for the vocals, it was ok, the blocking was messy, too much people on stage...its was ok.

  • my school is doing little shop of horrors too, :]

i love your stage and such. good job

  • Audrey is excellent. The chorus sucks, and the trio sucks harder... out of tune, which is why they gave everything to everyone, making everything too loud.

  • awe. our chorus is amazing. [:

  • Final Chord was messed up. I loved your blocking and choreography. chorus was week

  • Mr. Mushnik is very strange sounding. Not jewish, just strange.

  • didnt really like the Ronnettes sorry.

  • WOW!!!!!!!!! I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!

  • loud as sound

  • Nice set, a lot better than ours.. I'll post some of mine later

  • I love the old Guys and Dolls backdrop for skid row, but over all it feel that the chorus needs more work in the beginning. Although the characterization was spot on for Mushnik.

  • One of the best on youtube. Love the Audrey and Seymore.
