53% is an awful lot of people. But my concern would be why isn't it oh 63 percent 73..93? I wonder where are people suppose to go once they know,know what I mean?You can plant the seeds this way, but who will tend to them?How approachable are you on a bullhorn? Id like to see a return to good old fashioned door knocking. Conversations. why does it need to be a hit and run? Why not a hit and FUN?Show them the joy and glory of god. Show tem who christ is. Who are we kidding?Im just a pacifist. I could never scream loudly into a blow horn like that. I dont like loud noises. But I still think you need a team of nonbullhorners for approachable face to face chats.I understand why you have this method, and I know it works, I just like stick around and chat. Eternity starts now; Jesus said those who are born again NOW, will see the kingdom, and He was speaking of the Messiah who came to earth; The Word in The Flesh, who came to bring heaven (out of reach in Jewish Culture) To earth!

I applaude your attitudes though, much better than most who scream into the bullhorn! Preach balanced gospel, Sin, Repentence and Love, and life more abundantly in HIM!

If you do bullhorn preach, I strongly hope that you are also presenting a way for listeners to plug in to a Christian community rather than having them simply take a tract home and stare at it. That is why so many stress relational evangelism over this type of thing. And I think this is why your antagonist, Rob Bell, doesn't like bullhorns: No follow up discipleship.

My friend handed out a gospel track to a passerby, years later they met up and he was saved from that track. God used it. Yep, it's hit and run. We hit, they run. But some stop to listen and we share. Again, there is no example of relationship evangelism during the apostles or Jesus. (in my opinion it's a sign of a Christian falling into a comfort zone and not having the guts to admit it). Yes, I have friends, etc, when they ask me after I witness about Jesus, I'll be there to give them help.

Rob also believes in no literal hell, if you can't see the heriecy predicted in the bible standing right in front of you, then God help you. While Rob is writing on white boards about neat facts in the Bible and making contemplative film student films, we're out on the streets, at the front, doing what Christ and the Apostles did. Check out MATTHEW 4:17, enough said.

All I'm saying is bullhorn preaching has one major downside: it is hit and run evangelism; drive by gospel if you will. Sure, the gospel is told to people who possibly don't know it, but simply presenting the gospel isn't making a disciple. There must be responsibility to follow up and show these people how to live out Jesus in their lives.

I think you guys are kind, caring, humble bullhorn speakers. Regardless of this, I think it's unwise to tell people Rob Bell doesn't do things right. I was pretty upset how at the beginning of this video it seemed like you were dedicating your day out to proving Rob wrong. That's pretty silly of you. But just as equally I'm not sure Bell should have made a Nooma video saying bullhorn-ing isn't effective. Let's stop with the little inward Christian controversies eh?

Inward Christian Controversies? He doesn't believe in the literal hell. Where is there a single example of long term "relationship" evangelism? Bell said "We're tired of it, we're all tired of it". How about "Creepy People" soundtrack over the the bullhorn guy in his video? That's silly. Rob is a heretic and has to be called out. Nothing is more important for us to do is to plant seeds. When Rob paints evangelists like "creepy people", that's bad news.

I don't understand how your comment directly relates to what I said. Sure you can claim Bell believes something, but unless I read it or hear it from his mouth myself your opinion isn't having any positive affect on me. All you're doing is offering random attacks on the man without giving any proof or citation of things you say he has said.

I believe Rob Bell has some points, but regardless, I don't believe in sticking to a methodology.

Also, this "bullhorn" thing seems to work in America where there's a strong Christian culture. I can't imagine anything like open-air preaching here in Australia.

I think building relationships are best used for evangelism. But, I don't know the statistics.

Its not my style, because I just dont have the personality or whatever to o that, but hey, theyre preaching the gospel, Im not going to knock anyone for preaching the truth of Gods Word, someone will hear that, and the Holy Spirit will cause those words to burn in their heart and will cause them to repent and turn to Christ alone. Im just better at one on one with people

Hey, as long as your preaching the word. And reaching out to more then just the local family members and friends. Sad fact remains however that some people do not want to hear it and will stop you in your tracks at "Hello". Only way that they will hear it if they pass by a bullhorn preacher. Regardless of the way, a seed is planted. Rob Bell spends more time selling overpriced film student films then preaching repentence and faith. The guys just too oowee goowee.

Your sitting in the middle of the lost when you are living in your local neighborhood, when you are working at a place where people may not know God, when you sit on a bus or train for a period of time. You do not have to rely on the bullhorn method. People are hungry for truth and a way, but its not as plateable when its blurted out for them when they are in the middle of their day.

Yes we share Christ wherever we go and however we can, We don,t rely on any method, simply the power of the message preached correctly. It is not up to me to make it "palatable" , that the problem with Bell and others, and by doing so keep men in their sins. Bell doesn't speak about hell because he doesn't believe in it.

Well I argee with you there, Bell has been known to dwell on the "God wants us as we are.." however, God does not want us to stay there,and I have never heard him comment on how sin+problems=bad relationship for eternity. God Bless you guys, you are aware of eternity, and that is so important in these last of days.

They preach the Gospel, and I am not saying that there is not a need for people to repent of their sins, but its the job of the Holy Spirit to convict people of their sins. Rob Bell in his video was speaking about 1 John 4:7-12. Please,please, brothers do not be above humility.  We share the same desire to bring the good news to people, but we get no where fast by trying to kick down their doors!

The law brings the knowledge of sin, and Yes it is the Holy Spirit, not us who convicts, we plant the seed, God causes it to grow. The most loving thing we can do is to warn people of the wrath to come, not ignore it as Bell does, recall it was Bell who was first to criticize the "bullhorn" and go so far as to say Jesus is tired of it, how arrogant! Both Jesus, Paul and the Apostles preached open air to the masses.

Hmm...Although I understand why you guys wanna do evangelism this way, but how do you establish relationships to "feed the sheep?" I am all for getting the message out there, and not being afraid or ashamed of the gospel. Maybe I'm just more comfortable with one on one method (then I know how to respond to questions that they ask). Think not that I'm discouraging you guys for going out and doing this sort of witness, but think about how you connect those people who are interested.

I appreciate your concern and willingness to comment. Where in scipture are we told or do we see an example of "relationship evangelism"? I too am more comfortable one and one, but its not about me, its about obedience and love for our fellow man. We also did get to speak to people in conversation and had people thank us for being there on the street. Hope you see my point, people are dying, 150,00 every day, lets do whatever we can to reach them.
