The H2 is a digital recorder. Way better sound quality than a digital camera and easy to use. After recording you just plug into the USB port on your computer and download as either an MP3 or WAV file. You can then use editing software if you like to add reverb etc, although I tend to leave the recording as is and just edit the start and finish to remove any noise I made that wasn't part of the recording.
