I was actually at this race standing on the outside of the old hairpin. My dad was videoing the race and got an amazing angle of the crash, followed the car right through. It was actually used on TV at one point, but I cant remember where, unfortunately the video is now long gone, lost forever!
No matter how many times I see this, it always makes me laugh when the car lands, as there's a guy in the background who's just come out of that building (the toilets), and gets the shock of his life when he sees the car. Check the background at 1:19!
Nah, there's a full on proper BBC camera angle, I've only ever seen it on "Jeremy Clarkson's Motorsport Mayhem" or some other Crash video like that I was bought when I was younger.
Don't know why it isn't used on the BTCC shows, its not a fancam or anything, its a proper broadcast camera from the inside of the old hairpin.
ive seen this before on car wars 7 or 8 vid. some bloke walks out the bog as it as just happened, its quite amusing but is not shown on here. it was a shame about keith odor he was a top driver in touring cars!! rip keith.
lol Murray is a total legend - "He's gone over the catch fencing....anyway back to the race!" he could be dead lol!

That's probably THE most spectacular crash ever in the BTCC he was lucky to walk away from that, shame he was killed at AVUS in 1995.
