  • I like this song a lot more than airtap or precussenfa, how come it's not on a record?

  • VERY, VERY NICE!!!

Have you as yet TABBED it???

  • This is a take off of Michael Hedges Aerial Boundaries, but not completely. Eric is world class. I'd like to see the sound on these video get better to really bring out how good this guy is.

  • u are superb!!! u have 1000's of fans in awe of ur talent.

u have a really coooool style and ur the top player i know doing this type of guitar tapping ;) and air tapping is flawless...i honestly couldn't stop smiling the 1st time i heard it. its like super human!!!

dude keep it up and hope to hear more soon ^-^

  • some of the most fluent playing I've ever seen or heard. doesn't miss a beat or a note. flawless and beautiful. I'm awestruck once again.

  • exelente!

  • I can't believe you make sounds like that come out of your guitar. Amazing talent

  • Erick thx for your creativity!

  • this is music¡

this is a style of the new age and the spiritual music on a guitar¡¡¡

    godness¡

  • at the start it sounds like he's using guitar pro lmao but this guy rocks! he's so elegant in his playing

  • Eric....this is totally a take off of Michael Hedges Aerial Boundaries!!

  • no man.... have you actually listened to aerial boundaries???? .... totally different

  • @Ravco99

Agreed, while this is awesome, it certainly is Hedges' style, and yes Aerial Boundries. And while Erik gives credit to Hedges on his site, most others who obviously play Hedges' style don't give him reference. My style is certainly Hedges', and i actually do a lot of similar stuff to Hedges, but i will without hesitation give credit every time to my inspiration for guitar...Michael Hedges

And those who say this doesn't sound like Hedges, how does one respond to that?

  • @ZOMBIELANDakaUSA About players who plays Hedges style but not gives credit to him for it; couldn't it be like young guitarists that during the past years have found guys like Erik, Andy McKee, Don Ross, Antoine Dufor etc here on youtube that actually not are that into Hedges since they not have heard him that much? I mean, you could be really influnced my Stevie Ray Vaughan but perhaps not by Albert King, even though Alberts style influnces SRV a lot. Or something like that.

  • @salomon9595

good point, but i'm talking about some other popular guitarists. But the names you mentioned are all amazing guitarists, i know for certain Erik Mongrain and Andy Mckee give Hedges due respect, that being said, i don't about the other you mentioned. And i appreciate their styles completely.

And right on per SRV, have you seen the "in studio" DVD with he and Albert King? left me speechless, well, actually i couldn't speak properly after watching it

  • Lets be honest - this is AMAZING!!!

It is basically minimalism - you guys heard of terry riley / steve reich / philip glass.

Micheal Nyman. Music for the films "the piano" / "the hours".......

  • How???...How??? It looks so natural to him. It's like he just shuts his mind off, gets in some sort of flow and just acts on what he's feeling... wow...

  • you make this look so easy

  • How do you remember these beautiful compositions? Do you have a way of charting them? I'm assuming you don't use traditional tuning very often so I'd imagine it'd be really hard to write anything down properly.

  • Great!

  • WOW !!!

    BEAUTIFUL!!!

  • i have to learn how to play in this style...its just so beautiful

  • If you want to learn how to play like Erik, I'd recommend that you start with Fates. It sounds complicated, but when you watch him play it, you'll see that it's fairly easy; then you can go on from there. See, what I did is I started with Fates, then went to I Am Not, La Derniere Pluie, PercusionFa, then AirTap! Once you get to AirTap!, learning this song should be pretty easy.
