  • mOar lulz?

    KEvron

  • Kayak-not canoe! and he is like weighing down the kayak!!!!

  • So stupid!!! Why???

  • what the hall

  • That's a kyack, not a canoe.

  • That is a K A Y A K not a CANOE , A canoe seats more than 1 !!! take it from a CANADIAN :)

  • @jimobileworksatgmail Hey Jim! This Florida Cracker agrees. Although there are solo canoes & decked ones as well. What they're using is kayaks. The English however consider anything with 2 pointed ends that is paddled a canoe. At least some of the Scots I've been in communication with know the difference.

I'll be in touch with you shortly...

  • lol, must be fake and directed. no man could be such unstable at that kind of kayak, unless he was totally drunk..

  • just to let you all know, Brian has been seriously ill this past year but I'm glad to say he is alive and well now. apparently they are living and working in London-good luck to them both.

  • Just to update Brian was on Graham Norton show yesterday (on the chair) and now apparently works in a supermarket in Canary Wharf so apart from London as opposed Coventry back to the beginning. Poor Brian and Les are probably lucky if they are left with a kayak on the river Lea after their dealings with him. A further programme on their present situation might actually be quite funny if all are still interacting with each other. B & L seen the light yet I wonder?

  • that canoe is spelt KAYAK with a K

  • It is not funy, It 's scary to watch him shaking on the Kayak. If the Kayak capsizes than he is in big trouble.

  • @shiiit08 Its only funny till someone gets hurt ...then its fucking hilarious.

  • Too long a vid for zero payoff. Thumbs down.

  • lol he couldn't get his balance it isn't hard at all he just needed to relax when u get the hang of it the kayak becomes 1 with your body. some people say that kayaks aren't as stable as canoes but in my opinion they r nice and low in the water unlioke canoes which are higher

  • its a kayak and he has really horrible balance all you have to do is sit there you dont have to lean or shake at all what was with all his shaking? i would hate to see him ride a bike with the balance he has, i mean how does he even walk?

  • its a kayak shit for brains

  • ahaha thats good he was getting the hang of it. Good on him for giving it a go

  • Which one has the outboard motor? Canoe or kayak? How many sails does an aircraft carrier have? Why are my fingers throbbing and changing shape?

  • Wherever you are on this planet...kayak is kayak, and canoe is canoe. It depends how much you know about those things...and this is basic knowledge. Difference is: kayak - double sided paddle; canoe - single sided. Also, a hull and sitting position is little different. Please people, stay normal...this is the place of information exchange.

  • Not quite-some solo canoeists use double sided paddles :-) The Bending Branches Impression solo is a good example of a double sided solo canoe paddle.

  • Some people get confused single sided paddle. :) I checked your link, and it is definitely kayak paddle for people with rowing problems...hehe...Have fun

  • Haha ;-)

  • No proper instruction, wrong sized canoe, no PFD - a recipe for disaster!!

  • Things could have gotten very unpleasant if he had capsized, considering how hard it was for him to get in and out of the boat, and the distance between him and his friends. Personally I found that more nerve wracking than funny.

  • That's a kayak, not a canoe. I guess idiots don't know the difference.

  • ...in England, it's called a canoe. Given that they're from there, I think they're ok to use the term.

...Surely, only an idiot would expect the ENTIRE WORLD to use only americanized terms....

....oh. Michigan River Man..... right then, never mind...

  • @sixhats > '.. England .. from there .. americanized terms ..'

The kayak was invented by the Inuit hunters of Greenland many, many, centuries ago, with similar small boats used by the Ainu, Aleut and Eskimo hunters in northeastern Asia and North America. The name was provided by the Eskimo. In other words, kayaks did not come from England and the name is not an Americanized term.

  • Actually you're the idiot. Kayaks are called canoes in other countries. Look it up.

  • I guess idiots don't consider that in many other parts of the world this IS called a canoe.

  • boring

  • Yes very funny.

    But really, this truly sucks.

Not only are you putting a complete novice in a boat that's too small for him, you're putting him in a squirt boat, which is a really bad choice for a beginner. If he capsized, he would have had real difficulty in getting out.

So you've probably put someone off a sport for good, all for the sake of a cheap laugh.

  • Err... That's not a squirt boat?

He looks like he's having fun anyway...

  • Erm sorry I meant slalom boat....

  • Thats not a slalom boat either. That's a lake boat - made way too long and of glossy plastic and a little unstable.

People in the UK tend to call kayaks canoes because canoeing is not such a big sport as it is in the Americas - hey its their language after all....

  • @TechnoEngineer oh wow that explains a lot did he even have a CENTER of balance in this case?

  • @TechnoEngineer thats not a squirt boat thats a old fiberglass sea kayak

  • @johnfehilly it is neither a squirt boat nor a sea kayak, more like an old fashion slalom boat or a recreational kayak built to the slalom boat specs

  • @TechnoEngineer

He's in no danger there at all, it's only about 3 feet deep out to the end of the stone jetty in the background. excellent family beach 'cos of it.

  • its not a canoe its a kayak

  • quite the progressive paddle grip he displays at 1:59!!

  • good lough though !

  • I love race canoeing beginners XD

  • We were all beginners at one point in time...

  • lol

  • Thank you for this! Tiger Aspect, please make a third series. Classic TV! This was 'must see' viewing as soon as we saw it on the schedules!

  • I love A Place n Greece!!! Great clip =) Pete is hilarious with his one liners .. and Pedigree Chum tshirt!!! Lol

  • lol, I hadn't noticed Pete's Pedigree Chum t-shirt. That's just so Pete, lol. All kitted up wearing waterproof Y-fronts/a miner's hat and a 'back of cereal packet coupon' t-shirt. :o)

  • The t-shirt is advertising Pedigree Bitter - a 'real ale'

  • Yeah, you're right, Marston's Pedigree. Never mind. That t-shirt will forever be known as the Pedigree Chum t-shirt, he he.
