Its the wastegate not noz. the turbo on the supra is much bigger and produces much more boost than the evo does and therefore u hear the wastegate much more clearly on the supra. Ive been in and heard countless supras and all of them make this sound when close to full boost.
I'm a student at a tuner performance school. The supra has noz. And if you say that the sound (intaking air) at 0:31 is a turbo why don't you hear the evo's turbo then?

Thats a Auto Supra, probably a TH350 or TH400 and most of these cars use Nitrous to launch and then the Turbo takes over. That would be incorrect. In 93 a stock turbo supra ran 13.1 for Motor Trend. That trim Evo can only best a 13.5 in 2006. So I feel it more accurate to say that stock for stock in the 1/4 Supra for the win and after the 1/4...Supra for the win.

Boost logic supra runs 7 sec those times for a car makes it not street legal the fastest Evo is still slower than the fastest supra runs below 6 sec. THe Supra and evo are pretty closely matched cant really say which car is better tuned. both cars equal tuned would be up to the drivers who ever is better will win. ANd besides Supra with a turbo upgrade will get you like 450hp and making a supra 1khp and tuned is cheaper than evo with 800 hp the evo engine is not commonly tuned to over 1khp

almost identical the reason for the evo being slower in the top end speed is because of the limiter set on it only goes up to like 120mph. And also because the Supra is a inline 6 while the evo is a 4 cylinder. Part per part Supra gets more power. in the turns its up to the tuneing and driver some drivers do better with oversteer some do better with understeer. EVo brembos help with its cornering but put brembos ina Supra same results as EVo
sure it wasnt 178kmh if its a import one its only in kmh. But inorder for the subaru to go up that high the. according to sources Stock Supra TT can go 181mph or 291kmh but speed limter makes it in japan only go up to 112 mphand 155mph everywhere else Supposedly the EVO can go up to 165 mph but is limited so it shouldnt be able to go up to 165mphI think it goes to 135 and stays there for a while. Some can come close to 165mph but its on rare occassions no two cars are alike I guess.
muscle cars on the other hand from my experiences are even more limited the top speed u see in ur car. yeah most cars can not get up to 20 mph below the speed. It says 140 you be lucky to go 120. The most I got out of my 2002 mustang Gt was only 100mph it just stoped going up. :(
so yeah speed limiter was most likely removed. The increase in hp and tq with the removal of the speed limiter can do wonders for most cars. Some ferraris can only go up to 180mph :( stupid speed limiters

supra gets 320hp for the twin turbo,evo gets around 305hp so thats not a huge diff.A 4 cylinder block vs a 6 cylinder in weight the 4 will be way lighter.but as you can see awd get a nice kick off the start but as soon as the supra stretches its legs its gone, and lastly the biggest reason evo's are big in rally racing is because sti's are in it, they are big rivals, both 4cyl, both 4 dorr, both awd, both 300-305hp, and both betwen 30-35k
in a rally race the EVO and STI will rape the supra even with less power due to the AWD of the EVO and STI put both cars on a track its a drivers race. On a drag advantage goes to evo since it has if i remember right a 0.1 sec faster 1/4 than the supra on a roll its the supras advantage. both great cars both great to tune comes down to driver and how much cash he got to spend :P

supra gets 320hp for the twin turbo,evo gets around 305hp so thats not a huge diff.A 4 cylinder block vs a 6 cylinder in weight the 4 will be way lighter.but as you can see awd get a nice kick off the start but as soon as the supra stretches its legs its gone, and lastly the biggest reason evo's are big in rally racing is because sti's are in it, they are big rivals, both 4cyl, both 4 dorr, both awd, both 300-305hp, and both betwen 30-35k

in a rally race the EVO and STI will rape the supra even with less power due to the AWD of the EVO and STI put both cars on a track its a drivers race. On a drag advantage goes to evo since it has if i remember right a 0.1 sec faster 1/4 than the supra on a roll its the supras advantage. both great cars both great to tune comes down to driver and how much cash he got to spend :P

I haven't looked under the hood of the Supra but judging by how fast it went I'm gonna say it's probably highly modified.
