the series had so much potential, it was probably made towards a very young audience. there were very few good episodes not the best macross series BUT the songs are amazing.

now the ova is something else, it was GREAT - how a macross ending should be

@atjnAdfhhjea By point of view, it rotates between the two. they're both equal for that. As for the actual main, Basara. If you've seen the conclusion to the main series you'll know why, and then there's the sequel OVA, Macross Dynamite 7, which revolves specifically around him.

But I have this theory that the main character was secretly Guvava. Yet again, conclusion to the main series. You'll see why.

@atjnAdfhhjea it was basara they pretty much followed, granted mylene was suppose to be the airhead of the bunch, in a sense she was reilina to basara's heero yui. thats one way to look at it.
