Jagjit Singh was introduced to me by a close acquainatnce, almost a friend, when I was a student of Ph D at PU Chandigarh. Then I met Jagjit at Ludhiana and spent a night at his father's residence in Partap Nagar Ludhiana; he impressed me like anything as a man; earlier I knew that he was agreat singer. I have not met him since 1983 but his memories are ever fresh in my mind.

This song is marvelous its the story of 99% of peoples who were in love and now they are apart from each other may Allaha keep all of them together its hurts to be a part from your love.
This one song can have thousand of meanings ! can fit millions of emotions, can explains billions of untold stories... its a MASTERPIECE, I am sure that songs like this won't be and shouldn't be composed everyday! it comes once in a hundred years from someone.. accidentally... rest becomes a history in itself.
