The Wicker Man (2006) was boring and absolutely useless remake of classic The Wicker Man (1973). Even great and talented Nicolas Cage looked stupid in this film.

I never had any interest in seeing the Wicker Man remake, and now I have every reason to avoid it.

Your comparisons make me want to check out the original. I originally thought the mysogny was a carry over from a different decade.
