  • wow look at mikes hair

  • they should change their slogan to VH1: music last (now). are there any other multicamera 2000 footage reels? this may be the only time a phish show was on basic cable.

  • Someone's gotta say it, worst YEM jam ever.

  • Comment removed

  • Redonkulous.

  • Phish is good.

  • awesome

  • shhhh

  • Just watch and listen.

  • The best band in the world after nirvana

  • @Phishdrums yikes. ouch, blam. silliness.

  • @Phishdrums KB was rated higher in Rolling stone top 100 ! Wonder what they were smoking ??

  • the brilliant instrumental followed by the catchy falsetto funk stuff in this tune isn't just classic phish to me...it's definitely just classic music in general..i'm not the biggest phish guy in the world but I can understand why some people think that Trey might be one of the greatest of all time...

  • the solo at around 3 minutes is probably the best one I've heard trey do during that section of the song. Monumental

This song has a huge pay off when you're in a band that can play this, because you have to work so hard to get the beginning composed parts right, and it can be almost nearly impossible to nail, but when you get to the BOY!!! the feeling you get makes it all worth it, and all the hard work makes the end jam even better.

that's just what I assume. I can't play this haha

  • yeah but trey sticks it soon aftyer from 306 to 326

  • 2:56

    haha

    trey phlub

still made is sound good though

  • @notmefuckingname No offense, i don't think that was a phlub, he knew where he was, he was just draggin it a lil...listen again =)

  • 4:01-4:05

    drugs

  • this is just one of the greatest songs of all time,

  • The trampoline part is the best. It makes this song just that much better. I think I cream myself every time I listen to this song. And the A Capella jam at the end....mmmmm...you enjoy myself, man!

  • love the music... but trey is still seeing the commmas

  • they frickin' rock it. period.

  • what do they say when they sing really high after shit

  • wash Ufizzi, drive me to Firenze

  • Great version of You Enjoy Myself. Check out 12/31/95 for a better one.

  • check out 11/17/97 for a better one

  • omg its so perfect...You want them to rise up the scale so much at the beginning and when they finally do it sends chills down your spine and its like everything is being released...

    August 5...come faster.

  • oh yeah! indeed! everytime~ ty

  • Phish is.....

  • .....BACK!

  • very short jam?

  • yeah because usually when they play this song it's 20-something mins long, lol

  • hence why i was asking "very short jam?". im not a n00b here my friend haha.

  • i didn't think you were; i was just agreeing with you. this is actually one of the best versions of this song i've heard.

  • this version sounds a lot like 11/17/97. its a great one.

  • Trey is probably praying his script of oxy's came through.

  • Comment removed

  • was trey praying at 4:03? :) i also love how mike shows the same dull expression no matter what is happening. that's awesome.

  • you can really hear the bass in this one...me likes

  • I enjoy You enjoy myself

...and the trampolines were a GREAT IDEA!!!

  • I hope they play this at Bonnaroo.

  • Is there any doubt they will play this at bonnaroooooo? It will be epic!

  • fukken sweeeeet! :)

  • I cant go to VA either so pleez come to NYC

  • whens the va concert?

  • march 6th 7th and 8th

  • is it sold out yet? and if not how much are tickets?

  • The Phish show sold out as soon as they announced it. I was there on day one for the pre-order, and we used multiple credit cards from different people to try and get in, but no luck. To see that you asked just two weeks ago " is it sold out yet ? " Means you're way behind the times. They haven't played since 2002, so the tickets sold like the dankest ganja gooballs this side of the Mississippi.

  • 2004...

  • Whoops ! I stand corrected. That's right it was 2004, it was 2002 that they got back together.

  • What bass effect is Mike playing when he is on the trampoline?

  • sounds like a cheesy digi tech auto wah..but in this case, its kicking quite a bit of ass

  • Fishman is like a god damn monster behind those drums...he's fuckin retarded...in a good way;)

  • Damn when trey whips out the wah pedal at 4:40...speechless. Little things like that make Phish the greatest jam band ever.

  • I want to see the mothership again with these guys...

  • saw em in 2001, bust fuckin time! would love to see them again , nothing like a phish show

  • God, I hope they tour. I can't make it to the shows in Virginia, so, please, come to Boston!

  • can't wait to see them again soon. it's nice to know that they're back.

  • trey nailed the feedback at 3:52. i love it.

  • I didn't think they'd stay broken up forever. They realize how much people need their music and they love touring. Can't wait fo those tour dates

  • It sounds live water at 8..

  • i'd have to seriously consider left side removal for this band to get back together. I took them for granted over the years and paid the price-by not getting to see them again. All joking aside i randomly think about it all the time, that I may never see them again....and then i have to look this stuff up to get my fix. What a band, will never be another..

  • "When Phish broke up, I made a comment about how I'm not gonna go around playing 'You Enjoy Myself' for the rest of my life, and it's so funny because Fish, Mike & Page have been talking to each other a lot lately... and it's symbolic of how much I lost my mind... Because at this point I would give my left nut to play that song five times in a row every day until I die. I thought about that while I was in jail."

-Trey in a Rolling Stone interview on 5/21.

  • How sick would it be if they reunited and opened with this.

  • HELL YEAH DUDE!

  • 4:29 is where i love to be. fucking love this song live. Opera light bulb moments. lmao. Thanks ever so much Phish~ Let's rock again, real soon.

  • this song is musical perfection...blows me away every time i hear it

  • Mike's solo is so sweet... beautiful.

  • Fishman's drumming is crazy!

  • Duh fishman poops Rythmn....

  • FISHMAN IS MY GOD!!!

  • the oxycontin worked trey over at 5:35...

  • i agree, trey looks lit as hell

  • trey didn't forget the words. he was improvising while singing, and when he improvises he sort of says the phrases he's playing out loud. in that case he was singing and played a little lick at the same time. it's not that that's the first time he's tried to combine the two, that's where your comment comes in zion3179

  • absolutely filthy...that trampoline jam was sooooo sick!!!!!!!!

  • maaaaaaaaaaan

    boooooooooooooyyy

    goddddddd

    shiiiiiiiittt

  • boy man....wash uffitze drive me to firrenze

  • ....ummmm, almost.

  • I often wondered if they had a trampoline tuner to make sure the tension was right....safety first ?

  • this song is beyond music

  • This is indescribably well done. I miss phish and their indelible imprint they have on my soul. Will love them always :D LOL DIG IT

  • thats phunky good

  • loveage1

  • i cannot describe how much i love phish

  • I have been looking for the end of this video for sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo long! Thank you for posting it!

  • this is amazing

  • Phish was so hot in 2000 why did they have to go on post hiatus. Worst decision in phistory

  • anyone else seen them OPEN with YEM?

  • i (almost) always love the bass solo on this song. this one is no exception.

    <3 Mike Gordon

  • hehe... trey counting time during his huge bend

  • Can't ever remember a bad Phish concert. I only saw 52 shows, and feel like I missed so much. :(

Yeah, and I cried at Coventry.

  • darfur

  • yaya sure, im not dissing trey at all jesus, just listen to providence 98 entry and msg 95 and you will have yourself a beautiful entry.......

  • I think trey came in clean after the tramp jam, his guitar effect might have been a little strong, just a little.

  • there are a unfortunate people that do not understand Phish nor this video, or other videos, and these people do suffer from a lack of happiness

  • i disagree, the Trey post tramp jump strum is one of the best i've heard...smooth as silk...(I've got over 600 shows on disc for reference)

  • i think they skipped the jam and went straight to the bass solo for VH1, or VH1 edited

  • I totally agree about the funk, after the tramp jam it seems that treys entry isnt the greatest (still good:) ). But right after that when page/mike go into that groove man that is F-ing sick. I love the coordination there, and mike owns!!

  • dude seriously? If you listen to 1997-2000 Trey's style is the classic funk change up known for this era in Phish. Long live the funk!

  • clever editing by VHI here - there is a short stop/start section on the tapes that is edited out. Page stays on the organ for a while. It is not reflected in this video.

  • YEM is one of my all time favs! Man I miss them. This version has some serious funk at about 4.5 minutes and beyond. Listen to Mike... :)
